She can't have the medical exam without the Packet 3 letter. If you haven't received the Packet 3 by end of this week, contact the consulate via their online inquiry form and ask them to email you an electronic copy of the Packet 3 letter. Then you can print it out and use it for vacciniations & medical exam.

Great forum, very valuable. Couple of questions. I received NOA2 Jan 21. and on Feb 11, I got the letter from NVC saying my petition is being forwarded to HCM embassy. I assume at this point from what I've read on the forums my fiancé in VN will be receiving packet 3 soon. My question is can I go ahead and have her apply/pay for the visa and schedule medical and interview before getting packet 3.
