Just got back from interview.... approved!

It has been only 3 hours and the CEAC status already shows ISSUED and states "visa has been printed"

Hey,

I just spent ten mins playing with the DHL tracking thing and found mine. Thought the rest of you w/ interview dates from last week might want to know too and save you some trial and error.

I got my interview scheduled on 17JUL.

It shipped 18JUL per NVC.

I entered EXP 18 JUL 2013A (18-19 in range) on DHL

and see the following packs sent out:

Manila

Santo Domingo

Muscat

Bogota

Moscow

Addis Abada

Juarez

FYI just received the interview date email, 2 days after interview date received by phone.

That's 4 in the past hour.

I JUST hung up and GOT MY INTERVIEW DATE!

I called NVC at 2:40pm eastern and got the interview date.

I called DOS a few minutes before and they said no interview date.

I called NVC earlier at 10am eastern today and they did not have one yet.

August 28th is my interview date.

I called NVC 3 times still no interview

I am also waiting for Abu Dhabi interview. I called right before they closed this morning (Monday night in USA) and nothing yet.

Be patient, hopefully we will get our date tonight when NVC opens.

You probably already know that Abu Dhabi also handles all visas for Iran, so I am sure it gets pretty busy. Also, not sure if reduced Ramadan hours in July/August plus the Eid holiday reduced their capacity for August... hoping not!

Going by timelines, there were only 4 interview dates 'set' last week. I go by timelines (not signatures, not posts here, not posts in a monthly NVC thread, nothing in the 'about me' section of yer profile) and YOU should be studying timelines as well as updating (properly) yer timelines.

Why? Folk aren't updating their timelines - hence the administrivia note.

Seriously - to anyone reading this - I implore you to update yer timeline.

With all due respect, the method of this interview thread (the copy and paste list of dates) has by far and wide proven effective and helpful to me and I appreciate the hard work that everyone, especially dwheels, puts into it.

Its a live rolling trend of the past 3 months and it is updated in real time. IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF BRILLIANT. Its easy for me update and analyze form a cell phone or PC.

What is the point of a forum if all we do is reply to people "check my timeline" and "read the FAQs" and "I can't understand your terrible English"? (sorry about that last one, but I am so sad to see how people with poor English get treated sometimes in the NVC forums... but I'll save that rant for another day.)

Not trying to be rude, but I just think some respect should be shown to this very effective and appreciated thread, and I think people who are contributing data (in any way, shape, or form) should be thanked and not have their hand slapped for doing it wrong.

Again, no disrespect meant. I appreciated the contributions you have made Darnell. But I also think we should all recognize this forum and dwheels' work for the extremely effective, fun and frankly addictive thread that it is.

Yup, sort of. Mine were mailed out JUST before June but arrived in their offices (as per DHL tracking) on June 3rd and 5th respectively.

My dates are in signature.

Instructions:
If you want to share your case complete and interview dates:
1. Go to LAST PAGE or before and click "Quote/Reply" on the MOST RECENT LIST.
2. Ask for help only if you will mess up the list
3. Please make sure you are using Rich Text Editor as your message setting(Settings>Posting Settings->Enable visual (RTE))
4. Remove (top and bottom) around the list by clicking back space just before "do not delete"
5. Always use [Courier New] Font. (It will stay lined up correctly if you use the correct font.)
6. Add in order by NVC case complete date.
7. Add the date you received your interview date so others can see from case complete to assignment time-frame.

I called early this week and they had already reviewed my AOS (no checklist) Alhamdulilah and I called today but they had not reviewed my IV packet...hoping In shaa Allah for a case complete and say the same words like.....In Shaa Allah. The general consensus around here seems to be that it is safe to send it in once the money leaves your bank account.

That being said, I sent my stuff in the same day I paid and probably bought myself a week of time than if I had waited for "PAID" status....although I took a risk in doing so.

Congrats! I have a quick question. I would like to understand what a false checklist mean, and when its generated. In your case, could it mean that they have reviewed your IV package, and have given you a checklist for the 864W? This is because i am confused by your comment because if they havent reviewed your IV package yet, why would they give you a checklist for 864W?

I was wondering the same about false list!

My payment portal is still showing in process!! I mailed my Iv package today as money came out of my bank account.

False checklists are discussed in Saylin's first 2 posts of every month... just go back to page 1 of this thread. It will answer almost every question you might think of.

In my specific case, they sent me a checklist saying they received my papers and that I am missing the entire DS-230 visa app (which I already sent in). So it means they looked at my 864w and saw there is nothing missing, except the DS-230 which is in a pile somewhere. IF it had said I am missing the DS-230 PLUS a signature or something on the 864, that would NOT be a false checklist...

Also, it helps to just call them. They even warned me in advance "you will receive a checklist today, just ignore it."

just call NVC I was immediately answered by the operator. I did not wait. thats unusual no cue in the morning. Just did follow up of the affidavit of support. they ask give 20 working days prior on their recieved. for reviewing the AOS. the lady also confirm they start reviewing new version. She did ask if I did sent the current AOS just told her I sent the old forms. both forms are on review current and old In NVC.

When did you send in your AOS and DS230? i checked your timeline and profile bu couldn't find it. I think it was around the same time as me?

mine still says "not invoiced" ....got the case and invoice# on 05.28.how much longer???

It takes a couple weeks lately, just browse people's signatures and you will be able to estimate it pretty closely. So far by reviewing everyone else's timelines I have been able to accurately guess every date that was next in my process....

Just wait... it will change within a day or two so you can pay it. This is normal.

question.. i got an email invoice for IV FEE. i tried to log on the payment portal to pay but it is not showing. only the AOS that has a paid status... what do i do?

I want to know also, I got my case# and IIN on the 05.23 and still no invoice, im hoping sometime this week its been 11 days already!!!!! hopefully we all get to hear good news this week.

You are definitely not alone. In the few months I have been on Visajourney I have seen this problem pop up a lot. You should try searching the forums.

NOA 2 approved May 10th...waiting for Case #. I just want to make sure that the 2 bills I pay to get the case complete (along with the required paperwork, medical exam, vaccines, police certificate, etc..) is $88 for AOS and $230 IV for my husband's visa. Correct? I had someone tell me it was $420, which I thought was incorrect. When I read the info above it says $230 and I just wanted to make sure. Money is tight and I want to be prepared.

Yup. I paid both in the last 2 days. $88 and $230.

(the i130 costs $420 but you obviously already paid that)
