  1. Hello people :)

I am an Aussie, who is at the start of the process of transplanting to become a US resident.

I met my husband online gaming 18 months ago. I came to the USA in August 2012 to meet him for the first time after a year of talking in Skype. I had 3 weeks only then I had to go home to sort out my life there and think about what I wanted to do next.

I came back in November to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas here in the US and perhaps see snow for the first time ever !

So I came in on a ESTA visa waiver - and then became engaged at Christmas and married on the 19th of January this year.

Now we are frantically racing the clock to get papers filed for a change of status to allow me to stay here rather than having to leave on the 10th of February. I have chosen to retain an immigration lawyer to help with this, as I find the process confusing and I cannot afford to make a mistake (no appeal right on ESTA as far as I know)

    Wish us luck !

Congratulations on your Marriage and wishing you much

Luck. In my option the Lawyer was a good decision especially

    for the time deadline.

  4. First of all, this site is wonderful ans it is doing an amazing job!

Hello there! I'm Evye, born and raised in Greece and Kyle is my American fiance who's petitioning for me.We're both 24.

We sent our application (our attoreys did) in July 5th and have received NOA1. We hope to get approved and be together sometime at the beginning of 2013.

Distance is tough but the key is communication. And I'm pretty sure, that long distance relationships like mine and yours, are the ones who are much stronger than the others.

Take care everyone and be patient. In a few months, all this will be just a memory and a great learning lesson.

Welcome to the site. Wishing you much success.

The people here will gladly answer your questions.

  5. Hello! I thought I would stop by and intro myself/situation. I have been lurking here for a few months. I am American and Wife is Thai, Married in Sept. filed I-130 in April, recieved NOA1 and now in July just recieved NOA2. I have used lawyers through the whole process to assist my Wife and I. Everything seems to be going good so I thought I would post a little about me and my time line to try assist others who have the same questions. I do a lot of reading here but there may come a time when I have questions and hope someone will be able to lend a helping hand.

Welcome to site. I have no doubt you will

get good answers from the people here.

I think having a lawyer helping you is a good thing.

    Good Luck

  6. Welcome to VJ and your site looks interesting and helpful.

Thanks Kennard, I have not seen any other sites that

are set up like that. I do not like multiple choice

in my opinion a person could remember the wrong answers

he chose. I've had 187,737 visit so far and hoping

to hit 200,000 by the end of the year.

Hope you had a happy Fourth of July

    hi Welcome to VJ.

Thanks *++*, hope you had a Happy Fourth of July

  7. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi.

I live in Pennsylvania and I'm a naturalized

citizen under my parents. I was born in Germany in 1949

and my parents came to America in 1952. When they became

citizens I was naturalized under them.

In 2006 I got the idea of starting a site to help

people practice for the U.S. Citizenship test. I made

it a free site and as of tonight I have had 186,036

    people use it.

It feels good to know that I have been helping people become

US Citizens. I'm not sure about the rules for posting links

so not to offend I have not included it yet.

I added the site to my profile so I assume people can check that

    and visit my site.

Wishing everyone much success in going for your US Citizenship

you can be proud of the effort you are making to become citizens.
