Well, one week from now Aija will be with me. Wow what a feeling. It all worked out so great. She has had enough time to say goodbye to her family and say goodbye to friends etc. I wanted her to leave Latvia in a good way and there was enough time for her to do that. My family and myself have been so busy planning this wedding and everything is set. I have cleaning people coming to my house

Got a text about 3am kansas time,llam Riga. She was approved! She said that she went in about 30 minutes early, when they got to her it only took 10 minutes. She was prepared but they didn't ask for any evidence of relationship etc. They didn't ask for anything at all from her. Nice/Easy/quick! Her flight is Feb4. Hang in there after NOA2 things fly.

Aija's interview is this Friday. Things really do move a LOT faster after the NOA2. Check my timeline to see actual times/dates. US embassy in Latvia is fast also. They don't send pack #3, they just say to go to website and follow directions. when you have all medical etc. 2 days until interview!

Thank you. Just a suggestion but I would email your congressman now. They will send you a permission slip. Fill it out and give your story etc. I actually got action a few days before my 5 month mark. I think all it takes is an inquiry from the congressman and CIS would rather finish it than explain why they can't. Just a suggestion:)

USCIS received RFE response 12/06 and no response. Contacted congressman's office and they made inquiry. Still nothing. Contacted them again and they made a phone call for me that time and finally we got approved. I hope things move a lot faster from this point on. We will see. Good luck to you all also!

Finally approved. I had to contact the congressman's office for every step to get action. At least for my case, it was the only thing that made anything happen. 3 congressional inquiries and it was approved. I hope things move a lot faster from this point on. I am still very thankful though. On to the next step!!!!!

I told him that we are almost at our 5 month mark and that after the first of the year Aija is going to have to move hours away to her parents making it very incovenient to get to the embassy and the whole change of address thing. Nothing big, really just ask for their help because no one is getting approved. It's worth a try! They have staff for this purpose.

Hello. Got my RFE. Ding dong mistake. I missed a check mark in a box. Frustrating but at least it was simple. FYI, my RFE and action came because I emailed my congressman. Might be worth it for you because we don't know how much longer CSC will take before they get going again. Good luck!!!

I got the RFE. I misunderstood the questions about being convicted of a crime and military tribunal check mark boxes. I thought it said to skip if you are not in the military. Oh well. It will be mailed out today. Just FYI

RFE is silly. 1 of the questions on 129F is if you have been inthe military answer questions 1-3. If not skip to the next section. I answered #1 and said "never in the miliary" like the example forms say. The next couple quesions about if you have ever been arrested in the military etc. I skipped. That is what they circled in red and told me to answer. I answered, copied, and maile...

Sure, I don't have any problem stating it, I just have to get the paperwork in the mail. The email doesn't give the reason. Should be here in a couple days, hopefully. I just hope it is something simple to provide. Thanks for the luck!

I triple checked everything when I put the packet together but I will only know when I receive the RFE from the mail. Our age diff is only 4 years so can't be that. I will let you know when I do.
