After a long sometimes stressful journey my husband finally received his visa. The interview was a breeze compared to all the waiting!!

We received notice Friday our interview is tomorrow. I am flying there today!!!

My husband had his medical today. They told him they have no appointments for the Xray until next Thursday. So another week we go with no interview scheduled. Every step has been a horrible drawn out process... I envy everyone getting through this all in such short time.

Yes!! Thankfully!! It has been 10 months since we sent in our I-130... So don't have anymore waiting left in me...

So the embassy received our file and instructed me to make a medical appointment and once completed we can schedule an appointment. I made the appt for Wednesday hope we can schedule fast after still have hope for May 21st interview since they are only on Tuesdays.

Medical Wednesday then they will schedule the interview!!

So excited for everyones interviews I am hoping for a May interview since we were approved for an expedite... hope they call us this week with the interview date.

How long does it take to get an answer on a request to expedite?

I am curious on the interview scheduling. I called the Bermuda embassy and they told me they are waiting on NVC that they have the dates. NVC told me they are waiting on the Bermuda embassy. I do not understand how it takes this long to schedule an interview especially since I was told by both NVC and the embassy that there were May dates available.

Same thing happened to me it was almost as if some operators could see it was recieved and in the process of a second review and others were saying that it wasn't recieved. Give them a call tonight... took about 2 days after being told it was being reviewed that I recieved case complete.

Honestly updating the font on an IPAD is not the easiest thing to do which is why I didn't. Sorry if it caused an issue.

After I lost hope and felt that I couldn't go on, we got "case complete" and the next day we got interview date! The last steps are always the hardest... so when you reach that point, where you feel you can't go on anymore, you should know you're near the finish line! So HANG IN THERE!!! THINK POSITIVE!!

thanks Saylin. I could very well need something more I am in the US now I met my Portuguese husband while we were both working in Bermuda. I moved back to the States for a job and obviously we had NO idea our NOA2 would take 8 months. All of the documents were sent directly to me and were in Portuguese which I don't know or speak. So I really have no idea if something is not what they are looking for. My husband is from a tiny village so getting documents doesn't take a week I need to request them then find someone who is visiting Boston to bring them to me. Going to call tonight hoping for some answers.

ok I called back and this woman was nicer but I still don't understand. She says she can see that the Visa Application was recieved but that the civil documents have not been reviewed. I am thinking this is the DS-230 which I included the civil documents with this so why wouldn't it all be reviewed together. She said she can see the file was requested but that is all. She said to call back monday maybe they would have more information. I have such an uneasy feeling. The AOS was approved with no issues I just want to know if something is not what they need so I can get it if that is the issue.

:(OK I am officially stressed. I was told the 9th that the Visa Application was recieved and being reviewed. Now I called today and the woman (olivia) was rude and not helpful. She said she has no idea what is going on she can see it was recieved on the 9th but that it is being rereviewed to wait another 2 weeks. Which I don't understand why it would take another 2 weeks. I also don't know why she couldn't tell me what is going on she said Mam I have no idea to be honest what is going on wait another 2 weeks. Does this mean they are questioning something I have provided? I just want a case complete I have waited too long to wait anymore...

I had a lady tell me last night that my package was received and I got excited and said so it shows received in your system? She said no it wont show received till it is reviewed and you need to wait 20 b days. She was just saying since I sent it, it was received and I need to wait. Her wording was misleading.

Yes she actually said they have recieved the case. I sent it overnight so it was delivery on March 28th which is a few days before you... hopefully today is the day they review ours and I am sure you will be soon after.

I just called and they said they recieved his IV packet but allow 20 business days to review. I thought they couldn't see it was recieved until it was reviewed? Yesterday they didn't have it so that is hope. Anyone else recieve this comment and if yes how long after did it take to get case complete confirmation or notification of missing documents. I am debating calling at 4pm to see if there was an update.
