  1. hi i read your message and it sound to me im august filers, and i am happy for your journey now.. i would like to ask you about the contact number when you called them i try to call the uscis umber but the machine was answering i want representative so that i will ask about my case status thank you..

Here's the number that I called USCIS phone #: 1(800)375-5283. Its the same number found in USCIS website when you check the status online. You have to prepare on hand your Receipt # (that start with MSC) Alien #, DOB, etc.. Just follow the IVR options until you get a Representative to answer the call.

  2. I've been checking daily on my status it still says Im in the acceptance part. CSC is taking forever. Im at 8 and a half months. I guess I should put in a service request? How do I do that? Also, how to I check if my case has been touched since it got transfered?

have you call them & let them know that your case is beyond the timeframe of processing?

That's what I did with mine. It's been in Acceptance stage for 7 months when I called and Representative said she put service request and I was given a Reference #. She also advised me to wait for a mail within 15 days. If 15 days is over and I still didn't get any mail from them I should call back. After I hang up the phone, I created an infopass, I schedule it at the end of 15 days of waiting for USCIS mail. Apparently few days after my call the status online change from Acceptance to Decision and then a day after that Decision to Card/Document in Production. I canceled my infopass after seeing progress of status.

  3. just want to share.. I got e-mail and text message updates regarding status of my application. I checked USCIS website online and ETA of my GC will be tomorrow, March 13 :)..

My application stayed at NBC "Acceptance" status stage for a more than 7 months. I called USCIS to follow-up on my application Feb. 20 and was given a reference #. Within 15 days the status change from Acceptance > Decision > Card/Document in Production and I have now tracking number for my GC delivery date.

I'm so happy and grateful that I didn't get any RFE or interview sched :)

  4. Today I went to pick up my mail and while I was checking, I saw an USCIS letter....I rushed in to my house happy cause I thought it had something to do with my pending AoS. I adjusted my status from a k1 visa, 7 month ago. No AoS transferred and no RFE so far.

3 days ago, I send an E-request through USCIS website stating that my case was taking too long. The letter I got today was the response to the E request a previously made. Basically says that YES your case is taking too long cause they needed to make an "additional review" to my case and that caused a longer processing time.

As I just mentioned, I have no RFE so far, and I was wondering if you guys know why my case needed an "additional review". We had no issues in our k1 journey, actually it took me 3 month and 2 weeks to get my NOA2 and we had a great and smooth interview. My whole k1 process took 6 month (since we file till the day I got my visa). So I dont understand what went wrong.

I just called to the USCIS and they told me that I need to wait a lil longer, I asked if they need me to send something and they say No.

I have an exact copy of my AoS and I don't see why are they taking too long...I'm starting to get worry :crying: :crying:

    some insights please! thanks... :crying:

I'm adjusting from a K1 and sent an E-Request a couple of weeks ago, as I too am now at the 7 month mark. I got the exact same response.

same thing with you guys.. I'm on my 7th month. No RFE, status in online website still in "Acceptance" stage. I called them Feb. 14 to follow-up and I was told by the Representative that she will tag my case since its already beyond the timeframe mark and she gave me a Reference #. She said that I will be receiving a mail from them within 15 days and if in case I didn't get any mail, I should call again. What I did just a precaution I filed an infopass appointment for March 8. I just want to speak to someone in person to understand how long do I need to wait for my GC and advice them that I will be out of the country in April.

  5. Just went online and checked my status and saw this:

On February 1, 2013, your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was approved. You will be notified of the decision by mail. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case, including when the approval notice is mailed. If you do not receive the approval notice within 30 days, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

    WOOOHOOOO!! So excited!!!

I'm happy for you. I just check mine today, the status still in Acceptance stage :(

  6. We just ordered our ticket to bring us together, and then found out how much of a mess

the ticket is going to be because it uses Beijing Capital International Airport.

At the Beijing Cap Air there is a transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 that I found out

will cause my Rochelle to not only have to go through customs/security two times, but she

will have to pay for a shuttle to Terminal 3(in Yuan).

I found this hard to believe, but acceptable.

I then read the requirements of the customs realizing she would have

enter China crossing the national lines, and realized

that any and all written documents, or photos are subject to be

    opened, and thereby searched.

I am now worried that our final envelope for immigration and the K1 visa

in the US is going to be disturbed by the Chinese customs not once but twice.

Has this happened to anyone in coming from China? or Anyone who has used this airport in the past?

    Thanks.

My flight then is Manila > Beijing > Chicago .. the Shuttle is Free and No, they didn't open my yellow packet in Beijing although she will go through another security check before boarding the next flight to U.S. The problem in Beijing the Immigration Officers are not all well verse in english language, they can hardly speak it. She will be ask to fill out a form that she needs to present to Beijing IO. If she's switching different carrier and if she has several luggages with her she's going to have a hard time moving from one terminal to another.

  7. Hey guys, could you tell me what the text message said that you got about your EAD being dispatched to USPS and being delivered, I am a little confused about notifications like these. What did the message say exactly and who sent them? What is the number that sent them. I hope i am not asking too much. Thanks in advance. :)

In my case I didn't get any text messages since I opted an email notification however I didn't get any e-mail as well. Every day I checked on my status in USCIS website. I suggest check online to see this type of message:

"The USPS reported that your new card was delivered on September 25, 2012, directly to the address we had on file. If you did not receive your card, or have any questions, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

That means that your EAD card is already delivered to your address. I check in my mailbox on that day and true enough it was there :)
