  1. I wanted to know what you all thought, based on as much facts as possible, as to my possible situation.

What I'm looking to do is go to the Philippines to be with my Fiance until we can leave together once she receives her K1; I'm also wanting to get out of my state and move to a better state once my fiance and I are together here in the US. I don't know if my job will give me the time off we need after we receive our NOA2 though; so if my job won't give me the time I need off, I'm considering resigning from my job and using my mother as a co-sponsor. I was in college and training programs last year, and I could only work part-time. So I'm hoping US Embassy of Manila would still grant the K1 visa and once we came here, I would want to move to another state and find a new job, because I really want to leave my home state anyhow due to the huge tax increases and hardships going on here - otherwise I'd just keep my current job.

I'd appreciate anyone's opinion and thoughts on this, thanks!

for US embassy Manila, some CO don't accept co sponsors for K1. dit was just last month that i accompanied my fiance to his interview and we were told that they cannot accept our co-sponsor since they would need me (the petitioner) to be able to provide the appropriate income for my fiance. it was a problem for us because im unemployed and just recently graduated from college. they told us to send them proof of current sustained income which we found impossible but we decided to provide them a copy of my bank statements. 2 weeks after, the visa arrived.

they are really not that strict when it comes to having a job or not as long as they see that the money you have is enough (in my case it was more than enough) to support your fiance entering the US. and i suggest you accompany your fiance. during our interview, they did not even question my fiance. the questions were all for me.

  2. hi everyone... im new here and i dont really know if i will receive a response from any of you... im the petitioner and my fiance was interviewed already but they are looking for EVIDENCE OF SUSTAINED INCOME.. we told the consul that i am currently unemployed and have not worked before since i just recently graduated and passed the NCLEX-RN exam. we made use of a co sponsor not knowing that the consul does not accept co-sponsors for K1 applications. i dont have any income tax returns, payslips or any certifcation of employment to show as evidence of sustained income. all i have are bank accounts with dollars and philippine pesos. would this be enough to send to them? i dont know how else to submit to them since i have never worked before. please help
