  1. Allah has answered our prayers and my husband has gotten his passpory bsck fro. Admin processing mashAllah! My reason for mentioning this is just to give everyone a ray of light, know that Allah answers prayers I had been praying for us and everyone else who is in this terrible process and will continue to do so! May Allah bring everyone together with their loved ones ASAP and do the best for everyone in this heart wrenching process. Ameen! Husband will be travelking soon inshallah and my question is as far as documents are concerned what will they ask to see when he enters the country and what all do we need to be prepared for at the immigration counter? I, the usc, will not be accompanying him, but will be eageryly waiting outside lol! INSHALLAH! :) Thanks everyone and good luck to alla!

  2. Hello everyone, my husband had his interview at islamabad embassy for ir-1/cr-1 about a week ago. Result was AP, the interviewer said it would take 4 months maybe less maybe more ... who knows! Anyhow my question is , the interview only lasted like 15 min, he didn't look at any of the proof my husband brought even though my husband offered, he just looked at wedding pics and said everything looks good, and kept his passport an told him AP. However he returned all the original documents to my husband that we submitted at the NBC stage, and told my husband he did not need photocopies either, the interviewer didn't even keep th copies of te AOS packet an the Ds-230 packet either, that we were told thy would ask for at the interview. However a good sign is that theykept his passport and didn't ask for anything else. I guess I'm just nervous bc they didn't keep any copies, is that normal ?? or happened to anyone else??

  3. Hello all,

We have our interview on the 12th at islamabad embassy for my husband, really excited that there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel inshallah, but naturally a little nervous too, hopign all goes well and Allah unites us and everyone waiting soon inshAllah! We have the following as proof: Wedding pictures, vacation pictures with family and my husband from both times I visited, my boarding passes and passport showing entry and exit stamps, reciepts of shopping, eating out, flight tickets for travel between cities in PAK, a scrapbook of our wedding month I made for him as a gift, cards that I have sent him from here, many many pages of skype call logs (wedding was in november and we have been talking on skype since october of 2011 but the skypelogview is only showing from february onward), phone call history, chatting history from our engagement till now, email history between my dad and him, emails between me and him after the engagement, employement letter for me, tax transcripts, w-2, all the required legal docuemtns. We may not have to show them all of this, but just in case they ask, at least we will have it inshAllah. What else do you think we need to take? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a lot everyone and good luck to all in this process!

  4. Thanks a lot for the replys everyone! I'm still contemplating going or not because by the looks of it no one can really tell if it would help or not and i just came back in September after taking a month of from work ... so it would be really difficult to take off again and go. It basically just depends on our luck and who we get as the interviewer at the embassy. I just hope we don't get stuck in AP that lasts forever, after reading about AP, it makes me super nervous! This distance is very hard to bear! Good luck to everyone and once again thanks for the help!

  5. Thanks a lot! yes I visited for a one month and we are planning to show that.

    Hi RASSH,

I am not a Senior member OR expert like other VJ's but like to share my point of view in a response to your post.

It will be a positive effect of your presence during the Interview at the ISL Embassy. It will not guarantee the Visa issuance but it will shows that you are there to provide moral support to your spouse.

It is not necessary for your presence at the time of the interview, if it is not possible for you to visit again so soon.

You mentioned, you just visited and get back from Pakistan. How long did you stayed there? You can send the Photo copy of your Passport Entry & Exit stamps on it that will shows that you recently visited to see your spouse in this way it can shows the on going relation to the Counselor Officer at the Embassy.

  6. Hello all, I have a question and any help would be highly appreciated. My husband and I were married in Pakistan in November 2011, I am a us citizen and currently in the US. I visited him this month and just came back and September 15. As soon as I returned we were notified that we by the grace of God have our interview scheduled at the Islamabad embassy on October 12. my question is if I were to fly to Pakistan for this interview, would it help our case? We have all the proof needed and more, but if y me being at the interview willhelp us be together sooner in any way I would like to be there, but considering I just came back it would be tough! but if it will help us be together sooner I will try and be there for the interview inshAllah. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks a lot all!

  7. Well at least that is something, How did you manage to get that information?? Everytime I speak to someone over there all they say is we can't tell you until 90 days are up .... good luck to you as well! Thanks!

I spoke with the folks at the USCIS just now, they said my packet was forwarded to the NVC on Friday. She also said that it takes about two weeks from the time it is sent until it is received and processed.

Hopefully the customer service agent knew what she was talking about, a little hard to tell.

    Good luck.

  8. We are also having the same problem, we recieved our NOA2 on May 9, 2012. I have called NVC and USCIS multiple times and have emailed NVCresearch multiple times as well. I was told be the research center that USCIS says that they still have not mailed my petition and that it is still under clerical procedures and when the review is complete they will send it to NVC. I called USCIS about this and they said sometimes it takes up to 90 days for the process of transfer between USCIS and NVC. This is really frustrating is anybody else still waiting, maybe with an NOA2 from aroud May 9th or even earlier, or is it just us. Thanks!
