Please i will like to ask if anybody here especially from Malaysia or that has lived in Malaysia before applied for CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT, Please how does it look like? what is the content according to the US Embassy Malaysia requirement which say " Malaysia offers a Certificate of Good conduct based upon statutory declaration alone. This is not sufficient for U.S. immigration purposes. We require that an actual check of Malaysian police records be made, and Certificates of Good Conduct which fail to specify that a check of records has been completed will not be accepted"
I got mine few weeks ago , which is one paragraph letter and says " This is to certify that the government of Malaysia has no Adverse record on me" ... is that what the US embassy needs? I just want to be sure if i have the right document on me, i applied through Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Malaysia and it took me 6 weeks.
Also do i have to go finger print to attached to this letter?

They will need the police certificate to complete your case at NVC.. Its better he get it done and send to you Via Speed post, i had to send mine from Malaysia as well to NVC which delayed my case from being completed for 3 weeks.. Don't consider it as a " Pain" it's a requirement and its just about sending a paper to you.
