  1. I agree with Stephanie. Embassy in Ghana does not follow the rules. They are doing their own thing on their own time. When you get the letter from NVC, scan and email it to him for they will never send him one. He will complete all the forms (which are old and out of date) and take them with him when he goes for his inverview date. Good luck from there!

  2. My fiance got a 2nd interview and we sent stacks of documents. I sent receipts from wedding planning, correspondence, reciepts where we exchange birthday gifts, Valentine's gift and Chritmas gift affidavits from my friends in Ghana, his mother. All the missed moments from slow immigration processing and they did NOT even look at it. They just asked the same stupid questions from the first interview. The case was denied and sent back to the US for review by the Dept of State. I do not know what is going on in the Ghana embassy. Some strange things. I guess if you have the money to bribe and pay the right people you get a visa. Who knows????

  3. Do NOT listen to Gold Member! Ghana embassy wants proof and more proof. I am on my second interview for proof only!!!! I would say front load the petition with all the evidence you can because in the interview they are going to look at file and not even look at new evidence and then say, " come back with more evidence". Ghana is a high romance fraud area and it much harder than Kenya. Adding pictures, reciepts affidavits and all the in the front will will save you time! Good luck! To the previous member, NO it has not changed! They are still giving old outdated documents and behaving that way. That place needs to fire everyone in there and start over!!!!

  4. Let me get this correct, you are from Ghana and she is from Ghana and you were only married 5 years? That does not look right at all and I'm not even an immigration officer. They questioned my fiance because my ex husband is from the same country as my fiance as if they knew each other. Get ready for the questions. It's going to seem like you married the American to get citizenship and then when you gained it you went back to a local lady and now you want to bring her to the U.S, but good luck.

  5. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common tune at the Ghana embassy. My fiance was told the same thing. His interview is tomorrow and I am just hoping and praying for the best outcome. This time we are going back with more pictures. It is surely a shame because they are not even looking at the documentation that you are presenting. I do not know what is going on in this office. Too many fraudsters are having a heavy burden on the real cases. When I resubmitted I did an affidavit about our relationship. It was just a brief summary of of our relationship signed and notarized. I had my friend there also do an affidavit saying that it was a bonifed relationship and his mother had a document signed by an attorney of the court. I sent in screenshots of when we announced our engagement on Facebook with people's comments, and other Facebook comments to show that it's a real relationship. I went to look for a wedding dress and I sent in copies of that order form . They are very vauge in what they want, when they don't even look at what you have. All I can say is good luck. May the odds be in our favor.

  6. My fiancee interview was today for a K-1 visa at the embassy in Ghana. They did not deny it but told him to come back for a second interview on April 23. Here is the background history. I am 7 years older than him and my previous ex husband was from the same country. Is this the reason for all this hesitation? I have known my fiances 2010. I visted him in March 2012 and we got engaged. I turned in call logs, text message, emails, FB chats, pictures from the trip, holiday and birthday cards we have sent. The intervier's questions were how long has my fiance known me, am I an US citizen, was I married before, does he know my ex-husband's name, where is my ex husband from, does my ex-husband still in the states, did I file a petition for him and then the guy said he was not satifised with the evidence and told him to come back. My fiancee asked what else was needed, but the guy did not respond and just left. All the information about my previous relationship was clearly stated on the petition, so I do not undertand why it is a big deal now. Can anyone provide any guidance?
