Hi Ambichelle, I wish good luck to both of us this week for getting an interview date.

I don't think the country origin relationship with the US has anything to do with NVC's processing order.

My guess is that they work from the billet listings from each embassy as they come in.

One of the NVC agents told me that each embassy submits their anticipated openings report to NVC prior to the scheduling cycle. The openings count is per business day for that particular embassy.

Your embassy, and my Montreal embassy are somewhere in the stack that will be processed this week.

I pray we both get a date setup this week.

You've gotten more information than I have up to this point- I can only hope that you are right! I am hoping this is our week x and sending the warmest thoughts to everyone else who is in the same boat!

I've called NVC and DOS, no point in calling the embassy, and they will direct you back to NVC. DOS can't help and is a waste of time calling, so it's basically all on the NVC. Operators there have said a couple of different things to me – firstly, that I *should* get a Nov interview as London isn't a particularly busy embassy, to "there could be hundreds of people waiting in line before you, there's just no way of us knowing – call back next week".

So... was planning on calling tomorrow, but might wait until Tues/Weds.

But in answer to your question – no hope or reason for the delay. Just seeing how it goes. Kind of frustrating, as I travel a lot for work, and I'd like to know asap so I can get the time off!

good to know, let's hope that are luck changes this week! We haven't even been told anything other than we need to keep waiting.. so maybe, since England and the US are supposed to have a "special" relationship, our fortunes will change??

thisamericanlife and troucat- what have they told you when you have presumably called the NVC or Embassy? Have they given you anything to grab onto? Any hope at all or reason for the delay??

yes we do! I certainly hope that we do.. I never would have thought it would be this way, by that I mean, I never thought we would be one of the last ones- no offense to anyone- but it shows what I know about how the visa process! Still being hopeful though x

So my husband and I had our case completed on the 9th of August and we are sitting here waiting.. anyone have any reason why England has not scheduled interviews yet? Or any ideas? Is this normal?

I am so happy for everyone else that is getting their interview dates- we are just curious as to why Europe/Britain hasn't gotten any/a few as of today. Called and talked to NVC, unfriendly and unhelpful as per usual, so thought I would post on here since you all seem to be such a tight group!

Wow, thank you both! Why do you reckon they are so far behind? Is there anything on our end we can do about it?

I thought I would add to this thread... our case was approved on June 5th, tomorrow (as I was so rudely corrected with the NVC) is the 15th business day, not today.. most of the people have been friendly but I suppose there is always that one person. Anyway! It was sent from the California Service Center- are they abnormally backed up? From what this lady said, there isn't notice of NVC receiving it and if we call later this week they will instruct me on what to do next. What does that entail? Anyone have any ideas?

Apparently I was under the misconception that once it passed through USCIS things started moving more quickly- any suggestions??
