    What is ur dicrict office...

mine is detroit.. they are saying it will take 6 months..

I have applied for N600 for my daughter..

I got a reply from the local office of detroit..

But there is no Lin number. What refernece number do I use If I need to find status of the case.

    Please reply

Hi, for N600 there is no NOA at all. You have to wait for them to contact you. In our case, we got N600 done in a month and a half. First we went to our DO to get more info and ended up leaving form N600 with them (our paper was complete) .sA month and a half later they sent us a letter asking us to mail them back our kid GC. We went to see them instead. We gave them GC and they gave us cert. We were very lucky that we did not wait for long.

  2. My wife got her Green card approved at California processing center, without an interview.

But my son recieved a RFE for I693A.

We know for sure that we submitted the I693A(Sealed) from a designated civil surgeon.

I fail to understand why we got an RFE even though we submitted the I693A for my son.

    Can somebody share their thoughts?

What form do we use to respond to a RFE?

    Please advise.

  3. We have not received an RFE? Should I still mail it to the CA address.

Have you received an RFE (Request for Evidence) yet for the duplicate passport and replacement I-94? If not, I would hold on to them untiil you do to ensure that the files don't get misplaced or miss each other. When you receive the RFE, you will return that particular document with the copies of the passports and I-94s and they will be able to keep the file together. It is good news getting transfered to California - once you get the RFE and they match up the files, you will probably be approved without an interview. I would wait for a bit, though.
  4. Hi:

I need to apply for a duplicate passport for my spuse and son who came on a K1/K2 visa.

What is the quickest way to get a passport in chicago?

The normal process takes 3-6 months.

I heard they have emergency services for passport.

Do they issue the passport immediately?

Is is impossible to get hold of somebody on the phone at chicago.

    Can somebody share their experience?

    Please reply.

  5. I need help with the following:

I am in the process of filing for I 485 from my spouse after marriage on K1. Unfortunately I have lost my spouse’s passport and her sons passport.

    1) Can I apply I102(I94 replacement) at the local office, without a passport?

    2) If I am allowed, then how much time will it take at the local office. for I102

    3) Can I file my spouses I485, without the I94 record. (we do have her social security number)

    4) Can I file I485 along with the I102 together?

    5) Do we require separate I485 for my spouse’s son(K2 visa)

    6) What is the time limit within which I should apply the I485 - within 90 days or before K1/K2 visa

    expires

    Please reply...

    1. Read the I-102 instructions. You can't file for replacement of a lost I-94 at a local district office

    2. See #1

    3. No

    4. Yes. Read the I-102 instructions

    5. Yes

    6. File for AOS within 90 days of a K-1/K-2 entering the US.

I would file a police report regarding the lost passports and I-94s. You will probably need that for the I-102s.

    Thanks for your reply..

I just need clarification on item #3:

Can I file the I485/EAD along with the I102, since the I94 is not available?

I just want to get the I485/EAD - filing process started..

    Please advise
