Hi everybody,

By God's grace my CR-1 Visa was approved on 11th. I got my Passport today with the visa and a packet. I am flying to the US on 19th July.

Thank you everybody for the support in this long journey. I wish you all lots of luck for your respective journeys.

I am so used to visiting this site now..that i think ..i am going to continue it for a while.

U got visa after how many days after da interview? Which embassy u got visa from?islmabad?

Even if u get da interview ,won't really help thy gonna put u in AP

What if u get light green sheet at da intrview and was told all ur documents are complete thy ll send da visa byail

Mine took about four months, but it depends how fast u provide them whatever thy ask for

Does islamabad return ur passport wid visa within 7-10 days too glen?

Some ppl get da visa on 7-10 day. N sum ppl the very next day of interview. Is it cuz of da ppl's names. If its a common name thy give da visa right away if it has mohammad in it ,thy delay a little?

They put my hubby on AP and said will get visa within 3 months.does it really take long ,I was expecting 7-10 days? U're lucky got visa da same day,congrats raja.

my husband was interviewed at islamabad embassy and was passed. all of our docoments are complete and they told us that the administrative processesing has to b done now and they'll send the visa within three months. but i was expecting the visa within 7-10 days. what do u guys say?

my husband gave the interview on the 25th of june and they said that all da documents are complete and they 're gona do the administrative prossesing and they said that u'll get ur visa within 3 months. :S why did they say three months? i mean.. i was expecting the visa within seven to ten days..

I cannot speak for the Mumbai consulate, but the Islamabad consulate delivers the visa within 8 - 10 days if approved. This is the AVERAGE case , BUT...

I suggest you refrain from making any travel plans until you have the physical passport with the visa stamp in hand. You're setting yourself up for loss otherwise. You have no idea what will happen at the interview. I sincerely hope that your wife is approved and granted a visa, however, the possibility cannot be denied that she might be missing some document, or something else completely unrelated could happen that can possibly delay the visa. You never know. It is also possible that she will be approved....but the visa sometimes takes longer than expected to arrive due to unforeseen delays at the embassy after approval (work load etc...)

If you go to the US Consulate website, it clearly states NOT to make any kind of travel plans until and unless you have visa in hand.
