  1. So. I have been on the phone with people in my home state trying to see if I can obtain a certified copy of my long form birth certificate. The one I ordered a few months ago is a simple computer generated document with minimal information. According to the records people there is no long form birth certificate available. One guy told me it might be possible to have someone find the original in their records and make a certified copy but when I sent them the request form, they said they never received it and I have heard nothing back after calling again and being told they would check on the situation. My wife is worried that if she doesn't have the long form of my birth certificate at her interview in Mexico it might cause a denial. Anybody else had trouble obtaining a long form birth certificate? Thanks.

    Hi

My fiance had his interview on 01/07/2013, and he was asked for my long birth certificate at the interview. He only had the one with the short one ( not alot info on it ). I had to drive to Austin that day for the certificate if I did it over the mail and order it they were going to take 6-8 weeks to ship. I drove 2-3 hours went to there office and had in my hand in 15 min max.

    Thanks

  2. Hey... i have a quick question.

well i have fread many waiver letters on line and even from a friend that

let me read hers. there is something i have noticed on every single hardship letter and that

is that every letter the person has a health problem. the problem is mostly always serious or even life

thretning. The problem is that i have no health problems therefor i have nothing to writte about

in my hardship letter tieing me to the U.S. has anybody heard of this affecting the strength of your waiver due to that??? Help please! :)

    Hi Mariana,

I went through the same. I don't have any bad health issues as well, but I'm struggling by myself. I included all of my past due bills and my house payment. Letters from freinds and my 10 year old son. Letters from his family. Hope everything goes well. Be strong. And why where you asked for a waiver?

  3. I want to start out by saying that I am posting this thread in hopes of finding others like myself that are also going through the I-601A filing process. I cannot find anything on the internet besides lawyers guessing as to what the possible outcomes may be.

I filed the I-601A at the lock-box facility in Chicago, IL and they received it on March 20, 2013. Yesterday they send me a text and email stating that they had accepted my application a receipt number starting with MSC was given. I'm assuming this means it will be sent to the Missouri National Benefits Center. Today, March 22, my case status is online to check on the USCIS webpage. All it says is that it received my fingerprinting fees and they will send me an official letter in the mail explaining the next steps that need to be taken in this process.

I already have an approved I-130 (IR-1 status) and a pending case with the NVC.

I'm going through the same thing at the moment. We all just need to wait. There is hope at the end. We will all be with our love ones soon.

  4. This is my situation, today my attorney called me, she recieved my waiver pacakage back. USCIS is saying that the signatures on the package are not my fiance's. What? So now I have to send it off to him again so he can sign it again and send it off. I believe that they saw the signature on his passport and the ones on the letters and the application and they saw it different, I don't know what's next anymore .Just a month to waiste. Has any one had this experience

  5. Yeah its a four month to five month wait :/ my four months will be on April 7th so I'm hoping next month I can finally go home... Well since its a 601 the waiting time is the same married or not I believe. If I were you I'd join emigrate2us.net, they have been helpful to me. If you already have your notification of action, you can use the LIN number to track your application online on uscis.gov, good luck!

    Sorry its immigrate2us.net

    meljenn13

Thank you for your reply! I hope you hear from them very soon. Could you keep me posted on your journey. I just have a feelinfg that I'm on this boat by myself. Would appreciate it if you would keep me posted. By the way why were you given to feel out a waiver?

What is the I 601 waiver form for I need help with a final orderof deportation do anyone know about how to stop it

    canbofresh

    Have no idea. SORRY

  6. The normal processing time for the I601 is 4 months. We have been waiting for more than 6 months. Our I601 was received 9/17/12. I was recently told by USCIS that they have a serious backlog but I should have a decision in the next few days.

    Ray_in_Nevada

Please keep me posted on your JOURNEY it would be very helpful for us. And why were you given a I-601 WAIVER if not to much to ask?

  7. Hello VJ friends

I just send out my I-601 WAIVER to Pheonix, Arizona Lockbox on the 27 of Feb and still nothing. I understand there is a wait of 4 months or so. If you have experience this B4 could you share it with me. I'm desperate to hear other opinions. I am not married yet, we filed under the K-1 visa he had his interview on Jan 7,2013 he was asked to send his waiver to Pheonix. I think my fiance is getting frustrated on all of this, he told me today that people have been telling him that we should of married first and that everything should of been easier. I don't know about that, but I just hope that we are doing the right thing and that everything will be FINE. Today someone told me **THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL** I just hope so. Thank you for reading my message and please if you could reply to it with your experience.

  8. My husband's visa was approved via USCIS and we were notified on Feb 26. On March 5, they requested that we send his visa to ciudad Juarez. Our question is what is next? How much longer might we have to wait? I appreciate any guidance or help you all could give us.

When did u send out the waiver? My fiance and I are going through the same thing and just want to see what should we excpect. thank you

  9. Hello everybody, It's been a while since I have'nt posted anything my fiance interview was on Jan 07.2013 was'nt denied but was'nt approved. Ask to send his waiver to Lockbos in Pheonix which we did last week I understand it's a 3 to 4 month wait. Has anyone gone through this? Please give me your feedback on what to expect I would really appreciate it. It also included hardship letters from my fiance as well as ours. We just hope for the best and good luck to everybody on there Journey. I just can't believe how long is our wait SO FRUSTRATED :crying: :crying: :help:

  10. Purpose of Form :To show that the applying immigrant has enough financial support to live without concern of becoming reliant on U.S. government welfare.

Although USCIS does not charge a fee for this form, the Department of State does charge a fee when the Affidavit of Support is reviewed domestically. This does not apply when the Affidavit of Support is filed abroad.

You may want to review the form. USCIS website.

  11. i have yet not got any information on my 601, i go into the uscis website and check case status but it says that the alien registration number was changed, what should i do ?

are there any more website i can look into to see how long more ill be waiting .

    uscis recieved my 601 on DEC14 !

praying all get an approval soon .

    thanks for all.

Sorry to ask but why were you giving a I-601 Waiver ?

  12. Here you seem to have 2 options. The first is to hire a lawyer and attempt to reverse the paperwork he signed. This is very difficult and would cost a fortune. If you believe that you would qualify for the waiver, it would cost less. The problem is to qualify for the waiver he ahs to accept the accusation again. After filing for the waiver, even if it is denied, he cannot go back and say that wasnt true. It seems that he would not be able to ge out of the living in us 8 mos charge because 1- he signed off on it and 2- for them to say he did not leave on time, he did not have his documents properly stamped upon reentry to Mexico. The could not make this assumption if he had his documents of exit of US.

I did hire a lawyer since the begining, but I always like to ask questions elsewhere, I have not spoken to my lawyer, she will be out of the office home sick with the flu. But I did talk to her over the phone today and she did say go for the waiver pay the fee and make a Hardship letter. What did you write on your letter I'm working on mine today and maybe all weekend. My fiance is also working on one in Mexico. What should I be consentrating on the most. And I want to thank you for all the advise. This is not the moment to critizise others but to try to help each others where all on the same boat. Thank you again.

  13. To get adequate help we need to know which line was checked on the blue sheet..what was reason for ban and length..we can only know that by the code on sheet.

    Laherida

Well we are not married yet, we filed for the K-1 Fiance Visa. He had his interview in CJ in 1/08/2013. But the officer said she needed my LONG BIRTHCERTIFICATE, which I mailed to them right away the next day. The officer told my fiance that they would mailout any decision that had made through DHL in Mexico which they did, it took them less than 2 weeks to reply to him. Well coming to find out it was another BLUE SHEET with this on it.

Seccion 212(a)(6)©(L) que por medio de fraude o representacion fraudulente haya recibido o tratado de recibir un beneficio de inmigracion de lo Estados Unidos.

    Than at the bottom says:

Usted puede solicitar un PERDON I-601. Porfavor siga las instrucciones adjuntas.

    What do you think?

He was in the USA with a Tourist Visa this is how we met in the first place he would come and go back. He would never stay. Well on 2009 when he was coming to see me again the officers accused him of living here all because of how he was dressed, plus they opened his luggage and saw his clothes. They told him that they new he lived in the USA cause of all his belongings. My fiance did not know what to do at that time so he agreed to what they were saying. Come to find out that the officer who took his TOURIST VISA wrote down that he lived in the USA for 8 months. Which is not correct. His visa expired every 6 months. We ended knowing this cause the officer in CJ told him that my fiance sign it when his Tourist Visa was taking away. If you can give me any heads up on what to expect I would appreciate it alot. And by the way why where yall Denied and giving a Waiver?

  14. :(:(:(:(:(:( Short story my fiance had his interview on 1/08/2013 was giving a this famous blue sheet that nobody wants to get. Well on that blue sheet it said that they needed my Long Birth Certificate which I mailed out through DHL I understand they were just waiting for this B/C, but come to find out yesterday that Ciudad Juarez had send a package to my fiance in Mexico. We were so excited waitng to hear good news like his Visa or an APPROVAL letter, but come to find out it was another blue sheet it said that we needed to fill out the I-601 WAIVER. I can't believe this is happening to us. Has anyone gone through this B4. PLEASE give me some advice I'm so lost at this time.
  15. Another thing I should add is that Antonio saw when the officer (interviewer) stamped his folder and it said APPROVED? I really dont get it! :(

Yes that is weird that they stamped it APPROVED, but just send everthing they need and take big breaths everthing will be just fine. Just to let you know today I checked my case and it said that they already send the package to my fiance in Mexico I just hope it's his APPROVAL letter. I mailed out my missing document to Ciudad Juarez on 1/09/2013 and I just got a response today so you would know the wait or time you are looking at. I know it's hard and rough to be without each other but at the end it will be all worth it. I just hope for my best and ofcourse for your and your fiance. Any other questions just let me know I'm always looking into this web and reading everybodies stories.

  16. once again I checked my hubby's visa status on www.ceac.state.gov today january 23. It says:

Your visa has been printed and will be mailed and available for pickup at the DHL office that you selected. If you do not receive your visa after three weeks, contact the Call Center for further information: http://usvisa-info.com/en-MX/selfservice/us. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

Im so excited, yet nervous about all this. I called the 703 and 202 numbers and the said that they just received the passport and are reviewing it. but on the web page it says that visa has been issued. what should I do? do I just wait for a waybill number?

    Congratss

Did you already track it down through DHL?

  17. I don't have an answer on your situaton because we are early in our process, but i hope everything goes ok with your process, and that you get your approval soon

What is a LONG BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

A LONG BIRTH CERTIFICATE is the one with all the information on your birth like the hospital where you were born the name of the doctor the time and the name of your parents. The one I've always had just had my name my parents name and the day of my birth, it's a short one with not alot information. Which I had to drive to Austin to get the one they needed.

  18. As I am very upset Im writing this to let you all know that my fiance Antonio received a blue slip for Juarez :( .. It says they need more evidence of our relationship I sent pictures about 32 pics and intents to marry letters and a document from microsoft word explaining our story and affidavit of support even though we did have my affidavit of support and my dad was another affidavit of support but Antonio said they never asked for the affidavit of support. They even returned his passport to him :(. Im so upset can someone shed any light on us?! Anybody who has been through this? They told us to send the missing documents through DHL.. but is there anyone from another country or from Juarez who has received a blue slip because of these reasons and got there visa approved after? Please and thank you

    Hi Rocio

My fiance also recieved a blue slip but what they need from me is my LONG BIRTH CERTIFICATE. There is nothing you can do but send all your stuff in through DHL and wait for there response. Be patient even though I lost the little patience I had. Just cross your finger and hope that this is the only thing that they will want. GOOD LUCK

  19. I have been checking my husbands visa status on www.ceac.state.gov. They recieved passport Jan 18 and yesterday  Jan. 22 his case was updated this is what is says :

Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you already have an interview appointment scheduled, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Present your appointment letter at your interview, if you do not, you will be turned away. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment.

Im confused now. does this mean that my husband has to go to another interview??? I thought that they were going to send the passport back with a visa. I called the Ciudad Juarez Call Center and the lady told me to wait a few days and see if we get something at DHL, she said it could be anything. It could either be my husband's passport with the visa or it could be something else

Is there a way to know if the visa was issued? I just want to know what I'll be expecting at the DHL.

Im so ready for my hubby to come home

Brenda I have a question why was he on A/P?
