  1. Crashed~N2~Me':

thats a nice song (your nickname)

also your post/response was spot on..

i constantly worry about the future and have no sense of what is right now. therefore i am not an ephemeral thinker. i have great knowledge regarding birth control and have been known to shower 3x a day if i had the time. brush2x before bed. actually a lot of people i know do the same. like as if toothbrush was going out of style the next day and we had to overdo it today.

  2. i think this might have something to do with maslows hierarchy of needs, the op is on self actualization

and is more into what his purpose in life is..why is he here and what can he do to better serve humankind.

his wife might still be into survival mode or stage 1.

but although even if this is the case she still should have some dreams/hopes and such only this thing doesn't go for

everyone. not everyone has deep thoughts about their existence on earth and whatnot.

  3. Hey guys especially Hank , I was just wondering about setting the interview date..

I read on another page someone said that the interview dates were very limited (example July 17 and 18 for July and August (mid week) only..)

My NOA2 is expiring on September and I am kind of scared. My AOS papers took longer than usual (sigh). :(

Just to clarify, is this correct?

  4. Hello guys, my parents have been on immigrant petition since the 80s, it took so long that I aged out lol.

Anyway my question is for my dad, he has worked overseas in another country for 20 years (embassy/consulate related job) and to my knowledge he only has the police clearance in our country but not the other country which he worked at. Does he need to get a police clearance from there?Because he didnt yet. Their priority date has retrogressed as the f4 for feb89 has not moved in 2 mos

My mother told me they have sent all their documents to the u.s. or to the petitioner (my aunt). I don't know much about this whole process.

I tried to search for this here in VJ forums but I havent been lucky. I would appreciate the help thank you in advance. :luv:

  5. Thank you very much xette for the very thorough and detailed info.

Hank thank you for that info I was getting sad because i thought i have to wait for the original papers through courier (its gonna take forever).

  6. nealxette thank you, is that all you're going to bring? (curious)

i honestly have not been able to pay for my interview yet, all because i am not prepared at all, not knowing when

to set the interview date ..because of the support papers i dont have yet.

all he has to do is send those to me right..i hope its enough. sigh.

  7. Hi guys I was wondering what kind of papers to bring along w/ the affidavit of support?

My fiancee just signed it and there arent anything..papers like tax forms or whatever.

I feel very lost and confused as I have no knowledge of this. :(

Thank you in advance I'd appreciate any tip or help.

  8. hi tahoma i was wondering, in regards to my situation, my fiancees dad owns a landscaping company and he works for his dad. his dad gives him money but of course there is no papers for it..you know..just hand him the money and thats it.

would that be sufficient enough? i am worried sleepless in philippines. :help:

hes also on the gi bill and going to school. he told me he can get a loan and a sponsor...but..is that enough? </3

  9. Thank u for this post it answered my question, i got my nvc case number on the last week of june, and on july 2 i received an email from nvc with them saying that they have shipped my papers to us embassy manila. upon checking the dhl tracking website it says it was shipped on june 28 and received last week Thursday.

At this point i was confused because people said manila embassy is not gonna send us anything (no letters or packets), so i was confused as to what to do next. I did not know if I can already go to BPI and pay for my interview cause all i have is my case number.

Anyway again thanks for this post, tomorrow I will go to BPI w/ my passport and case number that I received from NVC email.

  10. fast update i called nvc today to verify if the number was right (case number) i was very nervous cause i waited for like 15 minutes on hold and i began thinking the operator must be rude and im scared argghh! :crying:

anyway when the operator answered it wasnt that bad (my lucky day...) she said my number was correct but i have to wait a few weeks-no timeframe for when they are going to input the number on their system..

then she said they are gonna mail it to the embassy here in my country and i can set my interview date..

she also said there is no way i can verify this not even online, the only way is through calling them..(oh no!)

i will just wait a few days and call again, i will schedule calls 1-2x every week..

  11. Hello guys thank you for your response especially nealxette. My fiancee called the NVC today and he told me they were very rude to him, he is usually the type

who is almost insensitive in terms of rude/polite stuff but that nvc operator mustve really gotten to him.

Anyway he was given our case number it is 10 digits, he was given the numbers only not the usual MNL + 10 digits (isn't that a bit of an informal way of giving it?).

I have no idea how to verify this number, there isn't anything online. It seems it is not the same like in USCIS where you can put the number they give you on and you can check your status.. :(

Anyway I would really really appreciate it if anyone can tell me that I can use this number to set my interview date? MY NOA2 is going to expire on September and I am worried that they would give me an interview date after my NOA2's expiry date.

  12. Is it normal to wait more than a month for the nvc to give a case number? The first time we called they said they did not have it, and to send them a scanned copy of the NOA2 to their email address. I sent 3 emails overall to NVCResearch@state.gov and NVCINQUIRY@state.gov. I get no response either from this.

I read other people say to ready myself that it might take a month for NVC to give a number, but in this case it has been more than a month. How much longer do we have to wait? I am holding my patience here because I honestly thought waiting for the NOA2 was the worst part of the fiancee visa process.

  13. i know guys. ive been frantic about this since i got my noa2.

thank you so much for the detailed information hank.

to be honest, since day one i have been the one fixing our paperwork. printing it and sending to my fiancee. i know its weird.

but oh well guys dont want to do paperwork stuff.

it was just a little bit hard because i didnt know what to do. but the good thing is that i was pretty methodical and meticulous in fixing my papers..which is why we didnt suffer anything BUT the long wait of the noa2.

so when the noa2 came i had to print the affidavit of support form out to send to my fiancee. then it took him some few days to send it to me due to being busy. so i am waiting for the filled out affidavit of support form and the noa2 hard copy that i am supposed to bring to the interview with me.

right now i still have not been able to pay and set my interview date.

i have to get my nbi clearance, a new cenomar (certificate of no marriage) since my cenomar expired already (i got one last year june 8, 2011) and birth certificate.
