  1. And after 6 months and 2 weeks....our petition was finally approved...!!!! The website was updated today. I called USCIS To verify and it was confirmed!. Thanks to all of you for the information and support! For those of you still waiting...don't lose your faith! My NOA1 date was July 6th

    Yay!!! CONGRATS!!!

    APPROVED today!! (L) (L) (L) (L)

    I feel in shock!

    Congrats!!!!

  2. YES! If you search on VJ you will find interviews with ex USCIS adjudicators. Basically our petitions sit in a box collecting dust for 5+ months then they are assigned to an adjudicator. If YOUR specific adjudicator is slow or gets hung up on a few more difficult cases (that require more background checks) that can slow up the process for the files that adjudicator holds. However, that adjudicator SHOULD move on to easier cases while waiting for the check on the more complex cases to come in. All in all, if your case is easy and cut-and-dry the process is 15 minutes on average for an adjudicator to pick up your file, do the necessary checks and approve it. For more info...search the forums for these interviews.

I found one of the interviews I read...I think the other is with one of the big bosses.

  4. That's probably one of the worst things ever! I mean from the 8th all the way to the 20th?? UGH!!! it's impossible for me to have any hope around those dates because every single day or 2 it's different. It was awesome when it was moving backward, but that only happened for a couple of days and then it started the other way and now it's just going further and further into Jan. I think i'm doomed to be into Feb. at this point....

Have they been approving anyone? We are noa1 date 7/3 and were approved thru vsc on 12/27. Has it all just slowed down? They had really picked up the pace for a month or two.

We're August filers, we were so pleased for you guys when we saw that July Petitions were starting to get approved, we've watched and felt your frustrations knowing that we're next ... the last couple of weeks has been especialy hard watching our expected NOA2 get pushed back towards the end of February and we really feel for everyone that is going through this process ... the only solice is that you know it will happen!

Keep you head up and your heart strong!

The hardest part is the wait after that is goes REALLY quickly...so use the time to get prepared...get your docs together...fill out forms etc...assuming you haven't already. If you have...take up embroidery like I did lol ;)

  5. So I'm just over 6 months...how on earth much longer can it be...i'm starting to get really frazzled at this point!! HELP!!!

According to YOUR VJ Timeline...any day now...see below copy and pasted from your profile.

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 20, 2013 and January 26, 2013*. "

Yea I touched 6 months on friday also. I dont feel like asking my fiance to spend hours on the phone during work hours because I'm not even sure if calling them will achieve anything. I'm trying to force myself to focus on other things like work, spending time with friends and family while i still can. It helps for a while but then i still end up checking whether we're approved first thing in the morning. I hate that.

We were VSC and we were approved literally 2 days prior to the VJ estimated date(s) of adjudication! Should be soon for you! Best of luck! :)

  6. Nah man i havent heard of anything yet. No approval, no RFE, No denial. just havent heard anything as of today.

Hello! Our NOA1 date was early July as well. Our NOA2 was 12/27.

Your estimated date of adjudication per VJ is "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 7, 2013 and January 14, 2013*." ...so you are kind of out of the window. You can call...I don't wish to discourage you...I just have not seen anyone getting anywhere with their calls. Give it a try though..can't hurt!

    Best of luck!!

  7. Thank you all for your encouraging words. I hope my time will be soon.

I will definitely keep the Supervisor information in my mind. My timeline keeps saying the end of January, so I will wait until then and see what happens.

I did this through an attorney, so I am assuming that she will have to ring on behalf of me?

    Sinead

We are VSC K1 and he is from the UK. Ours was approved exactly within the range estimated here on VJ. Actually, we were 2 days early. Your timeline says Jan 19th to 27th so you should be hearing something in the next 2 weeks! yay!

  8. im july 23 filer from vsc. my fiancee call USCIS this morning. and they said that our paper is on the line were they will adjucate. cos TIER 2 trace our paper. we want to HAVE a service request but the tier 2 said, no need because its on the line now. so soon we will get the noa2. maybe we need to wait patiently. MAYBE ALL THE july filers shude wait patiently. our time will come soon. goodluck to all of us

You're soon!!! Your VJ timeline states

    Processing

Estimates/Stats : Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 22, 2013 and January 30, 2013*.

  9. The entire process is exactly what you make it.....you have bad days and good days. TRY to have more good days! I would love to tell you that I didn't worry or freak out one or two days BUT the timeline is an estimate and the wait is just that, a wait. I found it REALLY comforting to read interviews with former USCIS adjudicators (just search for them they are on the forum). It gives you an idea of how the process can be X amount of days for one person and Y amount of days for another even if they have the exact same NOA1 date.

I actually took up embroidery and feng shui during the wait. hahaha :D

  10. Will someone please send me a word of encouragement about the Vermont Service Center experience they've *recently* had? We only got our NOA1 in late November, and based on the USCIS trendline, VSC is 18 months PAST their 5-month national goal to process the paperwork! That's horrible! Our lives are on hold in so many ways during this time, and I just can't wrap my mind around how VSC went from being the fastest to the slowest processing center!

Does anyone have anything encouraging to offer? Insights into why this happened or if /when it might turn around for the VSC processing times?

    Thanks!

Besides....chin up ...your timeline says "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between January 28, 2013 and February 6, 2013*."

Not much longer now!!! I wouldn't even think about worrying unil after that window has completely passed you by. I am sure you will hear something beforehand :)

Don't feel disheatened already. We had an NOA1 date of 7/3 and got ours on 12/27. Two days earlier than our estimated window even started. What made things easier for us was to just keep the estimated date of adjudication on our VJ timeline in mind. Yes it shifted nearly every other day due to approvals or lack thereof...but to know we could expect it around 12/29-1/5 was just a way to keep our focus and not freak out while waiting.

Hang in there and don't let other people's nightmares upset you. If you research you will find longer timelines are often relating to the beneficiary's country, further background checks needed etc. For the bulk of us..the kind of 'average joe types' the timelines are quite spot on. :)

  12. We got our case number from NVC yesterday and were told that our case left for the consulate on 8th January. I called Knightsbridge today and requested my medical for that week. All you need for medical is police certificate and case number. I saw my doctor about the vaccines and they said they wouldn't do them on NHS and I would need to pay for them so just going to get them at the medical.

All good to know! Ok he is calling tomorrow to get an appt. :) good luck...keep us posted!!

Hello everyone - just an update from a July 18th VSC filer.

I received e-mail notice of our NOA2 (approval) this afternoon, which made our wait almost exactly six months. :)

    Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Hi,

I called them this morning for our Case #. Our NOA2 date is 12/27/12.

    Dial 603-334-0700

    HAVE READY

A)your Receipt number (the number you used to look up your case status on USCIS website)

    B)YOUR date of birth

    C)your fiance(e)s date of birth.

They are only there from like 7:30 to 12 or something like that...I know they stop taking calls at 12 EST. So call now! Despite people talking about a wonderful automated system...that was dumped back in the spring, so if you don't call during the few hours they are operational you are out of luck.

They were VERY VERY kind to me...the call took all of 2 minutes. I received our case number, but was informed the file had not been sent on to the embassy as of yet.

    I hope this helps!

  14. if that adjudication date is within the first day after the 5 month and the 7th as you say, then i already passed that point. I'm not sure if I should make a service request a soon as i get back to land or not. (I'm enlisted in the coast guard and i'm currenlty at sea on a patrol)

This was taken from YOUR timeleine:

    Processing

    Estimates/Stats :

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between January 2, 2013 and January 9, 2013*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

  15. We're on CSC ,they said it takes 5 months. 5 Months (according to them) will be on January 8 so when that happens we will do a service request (if we hear nothing). (I'm more terrified about the interview and not so much about the noa2 though lol)

I know a few people who went through the interview and said it was easy as pie. Apparently there are two interviews they go with ...one if you are suspicious and another (very fast and simple one) if you aren't. That said, it differs from embassy to embassy so...by all means talk to people who have been interviewed at yours. Also, if you haven't done so already you can research your embassy on here :)

  16. My fiance will call in 3 hours!

He will ask kindly if they is any problems or whatever because in the website (from USCIS) says CSC takes 5 months to process the I-129F Petition. So..

I took at look at CSC estimated processing ...it seems it is at 5 months...so that means you should hear something any day now!! Yay!! Keep us posted and best of luck!!!!

  17. We called USCIS today. Our NOA1 date was July 23 but we were told our 5th month is 23rd of January 2013. I told the tier2 that our 5th month was up on Dec 23,2012 and she stated that CSC is processing July 16th. I called several times last Dec. and they told me the same thing. So, it's like they are processing July 16th petitions for almost a month?

I asked her if we can submit a service request and she said she could not do that. Our NOA2 would not be considered past due until CSC is processing July 23 or later and we still don't get any updates.

This is getting a frustrating since I called them last Dec 28 and I was told to give it 5-10 more days. Anyone who has called recently and got the same info? We all have been really patient but it would make us all feel better if we can at least get straight answers and would know what is really going on. CSC used to be the fastest center but these past months, they became really slow with processing.

    :help::bonk::help:

Wow now these people cannot count haha! you are the second person I have seen without an estimated date of adjudication on your timeline. I don't know if it differs based on country  My fiance is from England. That said, your estimated window should start at about 5 months 3 weeks after your NOA1...so you should be HOPEFULLY hearing something in the next couple of weeks! Hang in there  it should be soon.
