We received the EAD a month ago and still have no news about the travel document. The site still reports they're reviewing our application. Is this normal? From what I've read, I thought the EAD and advance parole came together as one card.

Hi VJ! It's been a while. We got married on July 20th, but had a problem getting the license because somehow it was lost in the mail. Now we're about four days away from K1 expiration and trying to get a social security number. We've read they won't issue an SSN if there's 14 days or less until expiration. Is this true? If so, will we have to wait until after we do the AOS?

Okay, so am I right in thinking that you no longer receive this when you enter the US and instead its in an electronic system? I definitely didn't receive anything.

So how do I get it, as its listed as one of the things you need for AOS and SSN?

Actually, we had already both written a letter of intent at the start when we filed the I-129F. This was a letter of intent from my fiance the petitioner to say that he still does intend to marry me, as it had been a while since they received the first one I guess.

We booked a venue for July, but we got our NOA2 in January, so a little more realistic, we also made sure with the venue that we would be able to change the date one time if necessary, luckily we didn't need to.

Nich is correct, we paid our visa fee after we we're given an interview date, but before the interview itself.

Aaah I see, I did pay £25.50! So thats a relief, I just have to wait now.

They really didn't go into elaboration of why I needed it, they just said I should have had it along with my affidavit of support. I apologised and explained that we didn't realise we needed it and that was it.

So at the interview we forgot the letter of intent. Therefore once I had received it from my fiancé, I had to send that and my passport to the embassy, which I paid for when I called the courier to deliver it.

But now how do I get the embassy to send my visa and passport back? Will they call me for a payment? Tell the courier to send it and accept payment on the other end? I didn't ask at the interview because I just wasn't thinking at the time.

Generally how long will it take after receiving it will they get on to sending my visa?

We were June (12th) filers. I had my medical 5th April, interview 2nd May (although we forgot a letter of intent to marry so they said they will send the visa once they receive that.

Have you had your medical? Have you sent all the forms they need?! Hopefully it wont be too long for you guys!!

How long shall I expect to be at the London embassy for my interview (so I know what train times to book)

Yes everything is done all the way up to the medical. The question was can I call them to schedule my interview or do I just have to wait.

What form is packet 3, the readiness form? We sent that. I forgot to enter it on the timeline.

Do you have to wait for them to just send you a date, or is there somewhere you can call to schedule one yourself?

Will I not be allocated an interview date until they are in possession of my medical results.

Or when I send my readiness form can I send my medical appointment date and they can schedule my interview date for any time after my medical date?

Should I put a cover letter? Should I just put in a photocopy of the letter they sent asking for those forms that they can get my case number and name from etc?

ALso, do I sign any of these forms or wait until the interview for them all to be signed?

Can I get the vaccinations after my medical and still have them count for the AOS?

What do you take to the medical to show you have received the vaccinations? Is there a form the local gp fills in??

Also, what are Packets 3 & 4?

Okay so I stupidly left getting my vaccinations until I had got the letter saying the Embassy in the UK had received our petition..

So not im rushing to get stuff done, the GP says I need to wait a month between each vaccination appointment.

So they would all be done by April, so I could book my Medical to be in April.

My questions are:

Can you send the Readiness form before the medical or is that included in what you're ready with?

Also, if not, when you send the Readiness form, how long after do you get an Interview date?

When going to the doctor for the vaccines you need for the visa. Do you basically just tell them you're moving to america and need them for the visa?

Can they refuse you and is there a charge for them if its at your local doctors?

So will they send info. to the beneficiary? I received a letter about the petition being approved and understand the next couple steps, but when should her letter arrive?

It was because I didn't put dates on my photos or scan my entire passport. It delayed my application by about 3 weeks. I was approved on January 7th of this year. Now I'm waiting for my fiancee to get her stuff.
