i was denied a k1 for the same reason, but we decided to get married and start the CR1 route...... it will take a long time before they reaffirm it and send it back, that's if your petition hasn't expired... once its expired, they wont reaffirm it, you have to start all over again.

yes i was denied and it was initially reaffirmed but they withdrew that and said its under review so i dont really know whats going on, USCIS says i have to wait till the review is done
