  1. Hello,

my fiance paid 350 for visa at Songebank in Haiti. Packet 3 we received gave two fees 240 and 350,, very confusing. It also said that Haiti Messenger was 10 dollars to send papers to embassy, but the place charged my fiance 20 dollars. The rates for things in Haiti change as they see fit obviously. Yes, after you get package it gives you a list of doctors. The one we used took 5 days but only cost 150. I will post this doctor when I have the paper in front of me and yes you submit all the newest evidence because they already will have the initial evidence. Send affidavit of support, another intent to marry letter (recent),with all his paperwork your letter from employer stating your length of employment and how much you earn, I even sent a letter from my credit union showing what I had in there for the previous year.So send as much proof as you can. We are waiting on interview at this point and trust me it does get better. Good luck to you on your journey.I hope this helps you some and if not there are so many more fellow members who know more about it here.

    Mia,

Thank you so much! This blesses me so much! You answered all my questions!! Thanks so much! It would be awesome to know what Doctor you used! I care more about saving the money than time. lol We started this journey on June 12, 2012. Hopefully it will be over soon! Good luck to yall and congrats!

  2. I am a US Citizen and my Fiancee is a citizen of the Philippine Republic. Although she has never been married, she thinks I need to include proof of her non-married status in the I-129 packet. My interpretation of the guidelines is that this kind of document is not required for her during the petition process unless she has been married in the past.

Regarding my Filipino fiancee, the I-129 packet will only include her glossy passport size photo, her signed letter of intent, and her signed G-325A.

Are there any other documents I need from her for the petition packet?

Hello! Congrats on your engagement! My fiance is from Haiti but the petition process is the same for all. I was approved in 7 days from NOA2 with no RFE so I hope I can help.

You DO NOT have to provide any non marital status proof. They can see this when they do the background check. Just check Single. Yes that is all she needs to include. And it is good to include some evidence of the relationship even though it is not required. I gave facebook pages, phone records, my wedding dress receipt and letters from my mom and grandmother.

    HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! :)

  3. Hello everyone! We got our NOA2 and I am wondering what to tell my fiance to do next after it passes the NVC.

After we recieve packet 3.5 we do medical and then pick medical up and then take packet to the Haiti Messenger? And do we submit all the paperwork including evidence with the packet?

When and where do we pay the visa fee and how much is it?

How much is the Haiti Messenger fee?

    Thanks!

  4. Hope my baby gets to *meet* his father eventually. He's already missed his birth, and his entire first year. And that cuts no ice with the system. Just saying they don't have sensitivity to family issues for everybody, only for some.

You really think I don't pray every day over this? Every minute?

    Good luck.

    M

I'm sure you do! Prayer is a wonderful thing and in Gods timing things happen. Even when we don't understand why He is still doing good things. He will be there soon!!! Everyday that passes is another day closer to when you will be a family! Thanks for your reply.

  5. I'm sorry and I don't mean to "rain on your parade". Definitely happy for you. But I did read where you posted that you HAD sent in an expedite request with your original petition and it was denied? Is this correct?

Makes me want to find a reason to send in an expedite request and have it "denied" and see if I receive my NOA2 a few days later.

    Just saying. Makes you think.

Edit: I saw another topic that you had posted in here in VJ.

I did not send in an expedite request until the 19th. My case was already with an adjudicator by then.. Just a miracle from God!

  6. Congratulations!

Yes, it's not fair that you were approved so quickly when others are waiting 6+ months, but believe me, anybody would happily accept a 10-day approval. And then everybody would else would be raining on their parade and they wouldn't care! Why? because they were approved so quickly hahahaha.

    Once again, congrats.

    Well said! Thanks!

Can't hate on ya..lol .. All in due time.. no matter how bad I want.. It is what it is and I'm exciting for you!!!

    Congrats!

    Peace,

    Chi

    It's coming! Thanks!

  7. You should not feel horrible. You got extremely lucky, and you should be happy.

It's the wording of your title that is mostly upsetting people, I believe. It's hard to claim the system works when there are so many people waiting up to 7 or 8 months for an approval when it's obvious that it can be done much quicker.

True! Thanks for clarifying this! I will be more mindful of the titles of future posts!

  8. Oh my; I must say that I am so happy for you.....I am not jealous because this your Blessing. I hope and pray for eveyone waiting and going through this process....but as for you......CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! and I wish your dad all the best and I wish that your journey forward goes just as smoothly.....:D

Wow! It's so good to hear someone say that. I have been feeling horrible for sharing this news.

  9. Congrats!!

Excited to see your timeline! We received NOA1 just 2 days after you did! We're going through Vermont as well.. Prayers going up for you! I know we'll get our NOA2 soon!!

(in your timeline it says "touched" after noa1.. Not exactly sure what it means.. How did you get notified of that, may I ask?)

I think mine was a special exception for some reason. They are processing January petitions right now. And create an account on the uscis.gov website and it can tell you when you were last updated.

  10. Not a hater - just raising our infant son alone until my fiance gets here. It's really, really tough. That's not enough to buy an expedite though.

I don't think it makes someone a hater to say "that really isn't fair" when a lot of people are waiting in a long line and someone gets to skip it without a reason over and above what the others are going through. I have nothing against OP. I truly don't think that's fair.

    M

Well my dad is dying from heart failure and now may get to see me get married. So my situation isn't perfect at all! But prayer works.

  11. Congratulations!! They received our petition on the 15th, and we got our NOA1 date: 19th... so here's hoping I'm as lucky!! Send me your NOA2: Approved! vibes!!

I put the email up top somewhere and I also have a post decision activity on my status! Hope you get lucky too! The waiting SUCKS!

Yeah, I'd say it doesn't work also. You have to be really desperate to get an expedite, since the average person here is suffering in lots of different ways during the wait - they don't discriminate and rush someone unless it's really extreme. Doesn't sound like OP is in that position, since they didn't even expect an expedite, let alone apply for one.

I don't know that I believe automatic expedites based on location are a fair practice.

    M

When I called they said they are not expediting certain states. That's why the officer was so amazed.

  12. I feel like this is a prank....but if its not Congrats all the same!

At this point, I truly have seen it all :wow:

I SWEAR IT IS NOT! I ATTACHED MY EMAIL BUT DID NOT INCLUDE MY RECIEPT NUMBER BECAUSE THAT IS PRIVATE! I COULD NOTBELIEVE IT EITHER! I ACTUALLY HAD TO FORWARD THE EMAIL TO MY MOM WHO WAS IN TOTAL DISBELIEF! WE ARE JUMPING UP AND DOWN! IT IS AMAZING!

I cant complain because I was approved in 99 days.....and I felt so guilty to all the people who filed their petitions before me.

Yeah I do feel bad but want people to have hope! Anything can happen and tomorrow just might be thier day!

  13. I don't think praying helps , it looks like it has more to do with a luck! anyway congrats, looks like Haiti has a priority (noticed on a few occasions)... Hope the rest of your journey will be as smooth :)

Thanks! I hope it is smooth too! And I hope yours goes smooth!!

Im with you on that one.....If praying helped.....Many, Many, Many, would be approved in 10 days

Hopefully it continues to happen and they will CATCH UP!
