Thank you! I hope ours is that simple too! I really can't imagine what I failed to include. Fingers crossed it goes quickly! Good luck to you! Good luck to all!
Also, I just noticed that my VJ Timeline shifted to Dec. 27 and says that RFE's from the Vermont Service Center usually adds about 23 days to decision.. Hmm..

RFE notification today.
Frustrating that they don't give the detail in the email, we have to wait for the paper letter.
We received RFE last week too. I apparently left one answer blank on the application, and that was it. So, don't panic! Hoping that it is something minor for you guys.
I sent it back Friday via overnight shipping and the uscis site has already updated, showing that they received it. So, hopefully the RFE doesn't slow things down to much.
Best of luck on your journey.

Hi All. We received NOA1 June 6th, and received an RFE this week. It was a simple oversight on my behalf, so my hope is that we will be approved shortly after we respond to the RFE. But, at least our file is open!
Best of luck to all!

When you go and examine the complete copy of your petition which you made prior to mailing it out and comparing that to the Example Forms and look at the attachments you sent versus what you have learned from what others have sent in, can you find any other omissions or errors? You should be able to answer your own question.
Good point. I have just read that several couples had to provide more evidence of meeting within two years or different forms of birth certificate, divorce certificate, etc. My hope is that they found the rest of my file sufficient, and just needed me to correct the one oversight.
Thanks.

This site has been so helpful to us on our journey. We filed in June and received a RFE this week. Fortunately, it was just a dumb oversight on my behalf. I failed to fill out whether or not I had been convicted of domestic violence, etc. The answer is "no" so all I have to do is check "no," sign, and mail it back.
My question is about the potential of future RFE's. Have they looked at our file and only found this to be lacking? Or is it possible that they could send another RFE as they continue to go through the file?
Thanks for your responses.

Hi all. We filed the AOS packet (I-485, I-131, and I-765) together in August. The I-485 and I-131 was accepted, the I-765 was rejected because of a dumb error on our part. While we were refiling the I-765, we received the biometrics appointment letter for the I-485 and attended the appointment a couple of weeks ago.
Now, we received a biometrics appointment letter for the I-765. I called the USCIS, and they told me to go to the second appointment because "they have no way to know if it's an error or not." The nearest office is approximately a two-hour drive, so it isn't really ideal for us. Your thoughts? Anyone been in a similar situation?
