  1. you are 100% correct. If that $420 hinged on a case decision, they'd be hauling butt fairly quickly. But they spent no time in cashing my check, but so far been 8 months and counting and all they can say is, "yeah we're working on it."

can't you take them to Court if there is no decision at all for lets say one year ?

If they take my $420 and run with no decision, the USCIS will here from my Lawyer. and yes, they will pay for my Lawyer fees also.

by law they have to review your case and give you a decision in a reasonable amount of time.

  2. ***update***

had my scheduled Infopass appt today, and they were of no help. The agent who helped me flat out told me they were no different then the people at the 800 number. All she did was type in my WAC in computer and said it's still under review, WOW! what a colossal waste of time.

I contacted by my congresswoman and senator and both said they had not heard back from the USCIS. It's been over 2 weeks. Highly frustrating, if a congressional inquiry isn't getting it done, I'm losing all hope.

  3. Hi everyone, been lurking around the forum for months but first post.

Getting frustrated, filed I-130 on Nov. 7, 2011, and still no NOA2 yet, got my NOA1 within few days that case was sent to CSC.. Still says case under review when I check status on USCIS website.

I called USCIS in mid April after my 5.5 months of wait, and they issued a Service Request based on my behalf, and was told to wait 45 days and that my case is being adjudicated. 45 days have come and gone, and nothing. Called again and they state all we can do is issue another service request. Getting really frustrated.

I've now contacted my local congress woman and one of my senators. Also scheduled an Info Pass for next week. Anyone else out there from November still waiting?

I don't get it, I'm a U.S. Citizen, no criminal record of any sort, neither does my wife, she's never been to the U.S. She's a doctor back home also no suspicious activities or anything. It seems everyone from November has had NOA2 approved and some ending stages of NVC process.
