  1. Hi Guys, finally we received case complete last night! We are now waiting on an interview to be scheduled for the US Embassy in London. Can we contact the embassy for any cancellations? If so does anyone have the correct contact number? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :)

  2. Hi Guys..well I'm currently sat in England watching over our poorly American Bulldog on my ipod on facetime, which we shipped to America March 25th..whilst my husband is at work. I'm on my iPhone for visa journey and using whatsapp to message my husband to update him on our poorly pup! In between jobs my husband Larry calls me on the magic jack :)..thank god for technology! I don't know if others have a magic jack? But it's awesome $20 a year for any calls back and forth from the US, to any US number :)

  3. My husband and I have received more than 1 checklist, but they are exactly the same emails! Stating they are reviewing my (beneficiary) online DS-260, and require supporting documents...however they received my supporting documents April 7th '14.., when we called the NVC, they say my supporting documents are in their mail room! So why do we keep receiving this checklist email for something they have? :/ so frustrating!! Is this the normal process?

  4. One thing I can tell you about the Texas service center they are RFE crazed. They have been requesting information that no other center has asked.

My friend and her two kids were separated she went to CSC the two kids to TSC. TSC has now RFE'd the kids (she was approved 3 weeks ago) they want of all things a written notarized permission from the father who is estranged from them to allow them to immigrate.

This is something asked at embassy not USCIS just s a mess.

We were transfered to the TSC in late December and had a NOA 2 by the 13th of January and that was for my wife and stepson. Never asked us for anything from the father, I did however send all the court paperwork for our right to remove him from his country with his I130. we spent almost a year in court getting that before we filed I130's

Sad they didnt marry them up at the same service center. I guess we were just lucky. Best of luck to your friend

  5. Hmmmmm.... I usually get therough after about 15-20 minutes of constant hang up and redialing. We were sent on the 28th of Jan and waiting case number. The told me should be by next week.... I sure hope so!!!! I'm really hoping for Friday the 14th!! yes.gif And yes they are very irritable when they answer. We wish the best of luck to everyone waiting.

  6. From what I read, the form says, "Do not include any relative listed on a separate visa petition." (Part 3 question 2) So it is my understanding that if you filed separate I-130 petitions for your wife and step-son, they also each need their own I-864. They still need to be counted when adding up the size of your household, though.

Very confusing, if you read the instructions for form I-864. In part 3 #2 says.. The immigrant you are sponsoring may bring children to the US. If the children will be traveling to the US with the immigrant, or within 6 months of immigrants entry of the US and you are sponsoring them, you should list the names and other requested information on the lines provided. So I'm still confused...

However I do understand that they both need separate I-864's

Couldn't edit my post to include this.

The key words here are "Family Member" not "Immediate Relative" which is what your wife and step-son are considered. As an example, if you were sponsoring your sister and her spouse/child, then you would file one I-864 and list her spouse/child under family member 1, 2 etc.

Okay, I see what you are saying. Thanks

  7. Hello...I am pretty certain that I need to file separate AOS's for both my wife and stepson. My question is part 2/1 (Info on principal immigrant) and part 2/2 (family member 1). Obviously, my wife is the "principal imigrant" in her 864 and the son is "family member 1". Do I simply switch them in his 864??? (Making him the "principal immigrant", and my wife "Family member 1", which would make sense....)...thanks....

I believe you fill one out for each. As I sit here filling out my I-864's I'm asking the same as you on the 2nd part of your question. Thanks

  8. Hello!!!

Usually when uscis receives the response, anyone of you have idea on how long for them to make decision?

    Just anxious. Thanks Guys...

May it be fast for all of us waiting...

I read somewhere it could be a 20 day delay but you know how that goes. sleep.png

  9. We had to fight the father in court for the right to remove my stepson from the UK. Even though he really had nothing to do with him other than keeping my wife in England for his selfish reasons. This had nothing to do with filing. If I had to do it all over again I'd file then go thru go thru the court battle as it prolonged us a year. Good luck with your journey.

  10. Sorry, I missed that thread, obviously. So, I guess for anyone else reading this no need to reply to me anymore, questions answered. I spend much of my time trying to forget I have a visa application and a husband or I literally would be in tears night and day so I guess getting an email from the USCIS shocked me back into a pretty crappy reality. Thanks for your reply.

At least you got a letter, We no idea that ours had been transfered untill I spoke with a teir II a few weeks. We still wouldn't know as they have never sent us anything and to think our fait is in the hands of this agency.... ranting33va.gif The news I received from them "We are working on Oct, 2012 I-130's"

  11. We filed June 8th '13 and received NOA1 13th June and clearly still in initial review and dont expect to hear anything until the end of the year. Its difficult for us all, but try keeping busy and it helps the time pass. I found myself constantly checking VJ but just impatient as there are many that have been waiting double the time we have. I miss my husband terribly, and havnt seen him since the beginning of May, and wont until Dec (for 3 weeks). Then the next time will be when i hopefully receive my visa and land in the U.S. I'm so great ful for the support from VJ and regular updates, as we can all feel very alone in these circumstances but simply not the case. much love to u all :-D
