  1. My fiance was interviewed today and he was denied due to 212(g). Our documentation is being sent back to USCIS. We can't understand why, due to the very vague excuse, no specific reason, no request for additional information.

What happened? We've been in a relationship for two years. We submitted two years of genuine proof, pounds and pounds of documents! Everything and then some. We were so confident because we know our hearts, we were honest, open and are absolutely devastated as our our families and friends who have witnessed and supported our choice to maintain this type of relationship.

Please, are we dead in the water? Whats going to happen to us now? Will we have an opportunity to rebutt her erroneous decision? We are crushed...

  2. We tried to exercise patience and in doing so, our "call-in" letter was posted and circulating around Ghana for two weeks before we sent an email to IVDVACCRA@state.gov. We heard back from them rather quickly. My fiance never received it there but I did eventually receive one here, in the states, addressed to him. I would suggest that you remain focused and diligent. Make sure you're emailing the correct address. I made that mistake and lost a week, too. In addition, if possible, try to get your police certificate ordered now. There were 19 days from the day he picked up his packet until his interview date. He ordered it in plenty of time, they even advised an extra 10 cedi would guarantee it so, yet, he interviews Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 and we still don't have it have it. Hopefully tomorrow they don't disappoint us again and leave us dead in the water. Good luck, hang in there and keep your eye on the prize.
