  1. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the well wishes and positive vibes. It actually really does help. I needed to take yesterday to cry, whine and moan, and just get it all out. Now, I am ready to fight again. I am gathering up affidavits from friends and family members. I have three from friends that have all met my fiance and then my mother is going to write one. I am going to have the kids write/draw up something as well. Pinkrlion, I am doing exactly what you said, out of spite to them, I am sending back all of the same pictures with the dates and places wrote on them, plus some of my cat and us around the house. This is ours for the taking and we will own it!! Once he gets the letter with the date I am going to try to go. Maybe fly in to Kingston and stay there... which hey, I have not been to Kingston. YET. Thank you all!!!

  2. Next time(NO WESTERN UNION RECIPS) it does not look good to anyone for a women to send Money to a Men. This was part of your denial.

I know this has been said before but I just don't get it. Yes, I am a woman who sends money to a man. My man. The love of my life and the man I am with. Of course, I am going to send him money to help him out. Just as I would any another family member. I, the female, am the breadwinner, that's the way it is and we are fine with it. It's 2012 and its ridiculous that we are still playing these gender roles. So I don't think it's fair to say that it does not look good to anyone for a woman to send money to a man. Just because he is a man does not mean he has to be the head of the house and the breadwinner. There are plenty of families were the man is actually the homemaker and stays home to take care of the kids while the female works and brings home the bacon. This does not mean that he is using her. It only means that this is what works for them and their family. Come on people. It's time for everyone to open their eyes and realize this isn't "Leave it to Beaver" and we are not The Cleavers!.... Otherwise we wouldn't all be here!

  3. Really feel happy and relaxed for you. I am sure you both have a good fortune this time. Do they identify their fault automatically or you emailed them?

They did. I had not done anything yet.

  4. I am sitting here stunned, I cannot believe this. I would wait a few days and then call for the reason. Pictures are not the tell all to an interview, how did he answer the questions? The pictures in my photo album are not dated. Before getting married make sure you have the actual denial reason. You can IM me anytime.

He said they asked him to write down the address of where he will live in the states. Asked when we planned on getting married and where. He said they did not ask anything about the universities or degrees or even my kids... which I find extremely weird bc one of the original pictures I sent in was of him with my kids. I just don't know. I am scared to go down there and get married= what if they do not like my pictures again?

  5. I have no idea. The original plan was for me to be there. But things came up. Work, graduate school, kids... and I couldn't. Totally did not see this as the outcome.

  6. I have cried my eyes out. At work. I am exhausted and just flat out drained from this whole process. My fiance had his interview today in Kingston. We were denied. He said the officer had issues with our pictures. They were not all dated. There was at least 30 pictures there. And no, not all of them were dated but I had submitted copies of my passport with entry dates and coinciding boarding passes. I don't understand, what more could she have possibly wanted. My fiance said that she said, I am sorry but we can not approve your K1 visa today. Your pictures are not dated and we need more proof. We had digicel records, western union receipts, my ring receipt, some cards that I had sent him, and a sh*t load of pictures. She told him the best option for us was for me to come there and marry him, then file for a spousal visa. He said she kept everything: all of the forms, I-134 with my paystubs, bank info, employment letter, his no impediment certificate, police record, medical, and all of our evidence and pictures. Just gave him back his passport stamped with a green slip with todays date stating we can not apply for another K1 visa for a year. Help please. With what I should do, who to contact, or where do I go from here. I love him whole heartedly but I just do not know if I can go through this process again.

  7. I just had the chance to speak more in detail with Papa and he was DENIED based on two things. Not enough proof that we are in a bonafide relationship and he tested positive for marijuana. There is a one year ban placed on him. This isnt a lifetime and we will make it work. For those who are judgmental.. I will say this...I believe in CHANGES AND CHANCES. I know that he had stopped smoking. But I guess the time wasnt long enough. I dont want to here about US tax paying citizens either. I am a tax paying citizen, I am a homeowner and a business owner. So I am very familiar. I am looking for help from those who can help or point me the right direction. Please...I am already in pain....

Miracles, Love and Blessings to you all on your journey.

I am so, so sorry to hear this. I can only imagine how disappointed you are. I do not have any advice on what you can do from here, other than stay strong and stay positive.

  8. I know! I thought it was weird. I specifically wrote in the message to please make all correspondence through email and please reply acceptance of DS-230 with interview date. It was like they were trying to prove a point that they will POSTAL MAIL the interview letter to HIM. Okaaaay....

  9. Hey guys! So, we got the DS-230 emailed in and we received a response back stating they received our DS-230 and they will mail my fiance his interview letter in 6-8 weeks.... 6-8 WEEKS???!!! Is that the same response others have gotten? I thought there was a number we could call, Department of State? and they could give us an interview date? I called 202-663-1225, went through almost every option and never could figure out how to speak with someone... Should I just chill out and wait? Will it really be 6-8 weeks before he even gets his interview letter? Or is there another number I should be calling DOS or NVC with?

    Once again, THANK YOU!!

  10. I was wondering what is the best way to send documents back and forth that is not too costly? Yet still arrives in a reasonable amount of time?

I checked Fed Ex for an envelope from JA to the states (FL), and it was about $34.00. Does the regular mail offer express, or is it safer to use someone like Fed Ex?

    Thanks!

You can do express through the post office, costs about the same. I just recently did express guaranteed through the postal office. It did cost $73 to send a file folder with all of our papers, but to my surprise he got it the very next day. Called his phone and met him too.

  11. I know, I know :P ... My fiance wants to feel like "he has a part" in this whole process. So, he decided that he wants to fill out his forms, scan them, and email them in. :bonk: So, for the sake of arguing; WHATEVER. I guess we are actually going to sit down tomorrow and do them (him at the computer, and me on the phone telling him what to do)
