My parents paid 10k each and had to come back and collect after a week. This was at NPF zone 5 in Benin City. Since you're in Abia - Umuahia, you can go to Zone 9 office and fill out the forms. My guess would be that it will take about the same time because they will have to send it to Lagos for processing. 

If you go to Alagbon, you maybe able to get same day service.

I think you can if you pay extra for "expedited" service at the Alagbon office. Where are you located in Nigeria?

Does anyone know how long it takes from interview at Lagos consulate to collect passport at DHL after approval? Couple days? One week?

This is for IR5 category. Parents interview is 11/21/19 @ 630a in Lagos.

Congrats Lily!!!!! I too got an IL for my mom this morning. Interestingly, she has the same date as my dad 11/21/19 in Lagos. I guess the call I made yesterday to NVC got the ball rolling with it.

It's looking good for Lagos I believe.

I finally got through to someone after a 1.5hr long wait on hold. So the lady told me to wait until Monday to see whether my Mom gets an interview date as my dad. She said the "system" tries to schedule interviews together for cases that were filed together based on embassy "availability/load". Also, if i dont hear anything by monday to give them a call so they can expedite my mom's case to go with my dad.

It sounds to me that it's the computer that randomly schedules interviews at these embassies/consulates. So I'll wait to hear something

Thanks for your response. I petitioned for them together. I-130s submitted individually for both of them on the same day, all fees paid to NVC on the same day, submitted the same doc for D260 on the same day for both.

I mean everything was done on the same day (like 5 mins apart) for both parents.

We have  same issue,my hubby filed for our kids and I,IR1 n IR2,we got interview date for IR2 .We we’re asked to write an expedite request so as we can all be given same date.

Thanks for your response Lily. I did not get a case complete email. I got a DQ email for both of them on 09/09/19. Do you have a template of the expedite request or sample that you could share with me?

I just stumbled on this forum. Been a member of VJ for a while now.

Since I started processing my parents IV I did both together. I130 stage, paid the NVC fees etc together. So woke up yesterday morning to an email with My dad's interview date and nothing for mom. I checked the NVC site and Dad's says "In Transit" and mom says "At NVC". I tried calling NVC, but couldn't get past the greeting message because "all agents are busy helping other callers".

Please folks, how can I get my mom's interview date? I would like them to go together because they live very far from Lagos (abt 12 hrs by road) and have to do the medicals only in Lagos. I wouldn't want them to be going on those bad roads back and forth due to their ages and also for safety reasons. 

Any advice will help.
