Thanks for sharing your experience ainsn--I know it must be frustrating. But don't lose hope. This has become the standard operating procedure at Dhaka which is affecting every type of visa application. As others have mentioned, they've kept your husband's passport--which is a good sign. I hope you hear some good news soon.

I have also been digging around the US State Department website to find out more information about AP. To be honest, there isn't much new information. Here is the general information about AP:

I also found the foreign affairs manual that consulates use to administer 221(g) AP reviews. Again, it doesn't have much info regarding how long it takes but does give some information of what happens behind-the-scenes. There's a lot of legal jargon and probably won't be of much help. yes i did get check list on 14th june and it was my original birth certificate (i already sent them the traslated one ) so after we sent those we recived the email that i have attached above !!! so this means that they have reviewd the birth certificate too and sent me that email .,,, right ???

any way even if what you say is corect which date is the acctual CC ??!!!! the first one or the last one ???? dose it mean that we are going to have our interview date with more delay now ???

I think that's what happened in your case as well. They reviewed the birth certificate and completed the case again (that's the new email). Now i'm not sure how this will affect the assignment of the interview date. When I asked the supervisor, he told me that it shouldn't affect it and that it only depends on the available slots at the embassy and not on the completion date. I asked him if there is any sort of priority when the availability is limited. He just gave me the standard line and didn't give me a straight answer (basically you'll get it when you get it). So I'm not sure how much I can trust his answer.

I'm sorry to hear about the AP . It seems like this is becoming the most common outcome of the interviews. I'm also getting worried about our interview. I know it must be very frustrating right now but I would stay upbeat. From the way your CO sounded, it will probably be a short review. Hope you hear some good news very soon.

today was such a NERVE-RACKING day i called NVC to see if i have any dates for our interview ,the lady told me: well as i can see your case has been completed as of today 08th of july and i was just like whaaaaaaaaaaaaat ???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my case was completed already 3weeks ago and i even have the email from NVC

Did you by any chance get a checklist during the AOS/IV application? I had a similar issue where I received a checklist and I sent the documents back to NVC in a day or so. However, my case was completed even without the review of those documents. When they finally got around to reviewing the document (2 weeks later), they had to "re-open my case" and "complete" it again (according to an NVC supervisor). Hence a new case complete date

2. Ask for help only if you will mess up the list

I tried looking on NVC's site and couldn't find anything about police certificate validity. If there's no expiration date on the certificate, you can always chance it and send the IV package with that certificate. This way, in case they do accept it, you wouldn't have wasted time.

Thanks a lot Saylin. I was thinking along the same lines. I'm hoping it won't be an issue at NVC. We will have the certificate by the time the interview is scheduled and my wife will take it with her to the embassy.

Hi everyone. Its time for me to send the IV packet to NVC and I could use some advice. I obtained the police certificate for my wife a while back (more than 6months ago). On the police certificate, there is no written expiration date but I'm fairly sure it has expired. Currently, my wife is getting a new police certificate but it might take another few weeks before she has it on hand. My question is should I wait to get the new police certificate or can I just send the packet now with the old version to NVC.

From Case# assigned to AOS getting invoiced its how long? Seems that any minute now isn't applying.

I have a friend NOA2 approval in 42 days. Took 86 days to get to NVC and 13 days for case#. So now AOS invoice will be??

I think NVC has slowed down a bit in generating the AOS bill. I've been waiting for 12 days now and few other people on this board were also waiting for over a week. I've called them and they gave me the generic 10-20 business days reply. I think NVC is transitioning to a new AOS form next month, so the delay could be because of that.

My DS-3032 acceptance email arrived today . I hope you will also receive good news soon.

That's great news . Hope your AOS application gets processed quickly. I'm thinking Monday will be my lucky day (fingers crossed). Probably the first time that I can't wait to be billed for something .

My AOS fee took a week, and I was also freaking about because it seemed like everyone else got it invoiced much sooner! Don't worry, I'm sure yours will be invoiced later today or tomorrow And it's normal that you haven't gotten a reply to the DS-3032 yet, after a week of waiting I went ahead and resent the Ds-3032 with the "supervisor review" in the subject line and I got the acceptance email an hour later. So you can either wait a few more days till you get a reply to the first one or you can go ahead and send a second one.

We received our AOS bill yesterday, eight days after having received the case number. Yours should also be coming soon.

I had also sent the DS-3032 email a couple of hours after we got the case number and I haven't heard anything yet. I was thinking of waiting until Monday or Tuesday and if it still hasn't been accepted, I'll resend it.

Hi everyone,

Its been over a week since we received our case/IIN # from NVC but the invoice for the AOS hasn't been posted online yet. From what I've seen from other people's timeline, most have received it a few days after getting the case #. Is this just the natural variation or should I be worried? Any suggestions on what I should do next?

Also, I had sent out the DS-3032 email the day I got the case number and I haven't received a reply back (other than the auto-reply).

Hi everyone ... just checking in. Our NOA2 was on April 17th and NVC received the case on the April 22nd. Now just waiting for the case # and IIN.
