    Dear PEAGAM, CLIVE JAMES,

We are pleased to inform you that we have recieved an approved petition in support of your fiance or K3/4 visa application. You now need to complete the appropriate forms and collect the required documents. A detailed explanation of the process is found at : http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html.

No where on the letter does it mention my A#.

  2. Hi guys, I have just got married after a long wait for my visa and was wondering exactly what forms i need to fill out and file for my AoS, I have read that its only the I-485 but http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=10093e4d77d73210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=10093e4d77d73210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD says i need I-130 as well.

  3. sry, but what do you mean by MRV? the only thing i paid for was the interview fee of $240. I hope thats the 1 that you meant as not even the embassy told me about any others. also did you ever check the CEAC site for you visa update? atm it says Issued, If you kept an eye on it does it get updated again? Also congrats on getting your visa :)

  4. Hello fellow VJers. I had my Visa interview last friday at the London embassy, everything went really well and i was given approval to get my visa. the lady who interviewed me said that i would be getting the visa via a Courier but never gave me any detail about the courier. I was wondering if any of you fellow brits out there that have also been approved might know how and when i should expect my visa to arrive, or even a way to find out how to track it.

    Thanks

    Clive

  5. Hi guys. I have received my interview date at the London embassy and was wondering if anyone who's had there's already might be able to help me here.

I have read on here that we have to pay the $240 fee before the interview but the letter i got told me to look online and find a form that tells me what i need for interview. on this form it says i am to pay it on the day so i am a little confused with if i should pay early or on the day. If you are wondering what the form is here is the link to it. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/IV019_fiance_appt_letter.pdf

    thanks guys for any help

  6. Hello fellow VJers.

I was just wondering how long after having the medical ppl have waited for the London embassy to contact them about there interview date, i had my medical on Tuesday just gone and they said the results will be with the embassy today (Friday). also how did the embassy contact you, was it via phone, email or snail mail post.

Hope to hear back from some of you guys soon.

  7. depending on which way u sent it depends on how fast u get it back, If u went for the cheaper option then your looking at a good 2-4 weeks for it to arrive, u get email and them to send back. On the other hand doing the faster, more expensive option sees a turn around of 5 working days. I myself did the more expensive option but in the end it was worth it as i am now sending off my pack to London embassy 1st thing tomorrow morning as have medical on the 11th June

  8. ok looking through the forums i found the answer i was after, Here's what i found:

Here's the basics of what London needs to get before they assign an interview:

    • Visa application forms sent in by you to get in the queue. Only forms. No passport photos or documents like birth certificate, police certificate, etc.
      • Form DS-230 Part I and Part II
      • Form DS-156 (2 copies)
      • Form DS-157 (2 copies)
      • Form DS-156-K (Do not sign it. You will sign at the interview while the officer witnesses. It's an oath)
    • Medical results. They arrive at the embassy by courier 3-4 days after your medical exam.
    • Form DS-2001 Readiness for Interview with a cover letter- This is your way of saying you have gathered every document needed for the interview including the I-134 from your fiance. They are in your hands---not on the way.

Hope this also helps anyone else that may be confused.

  9. wow didn't even notice that the embassy was wrong on timeline, corrected it now though. also thanks for the reply. lets just hope that someone whos had there interview can shed a little more light on if i should send them or not, i have the affidavit and my fiancee's tax returns, but like i said, not sure if i should send with the printed paper work or hold onto them until the interview

  10. Hello fellow UK VJers.

Just a quick question about what to send to the embassy after getting letter of approval, i understand about what forms to print and fill in but i have read that ppl send other documents as well, for example the affidavit of support. my question is should i send these documents with the forms or not as the letter says and i quote "Do not send under any circumstances send any documents to this office until you are specifically requested to do so. A final determination concerning there acceptability can only be made at the time of the interview. This will also prevent loss of documents and your having to obtain duplicates"

Thanks for any help you can give

  11. Wow. Cost seems to be down to individual GP and I have no idea if that is regulated in any way - they seem to make it up as they go along. Many GPs will do it for free, some charge for bits, others are frankly completely confused by the request all together.

Mine, for example, doesn't have vaccinations on-site, so I got a prescription for them and had to pay for those (£7.65 or whateverthey are these days for 2 MMR jabs). They didn't charge anything actually at the GP for the vaccination record or administering the jabs, however.

How recently did you move GPs? If it was within the last 3 or 4 months, your new GP may very well not even *have* your medical records yet from the old GP (it takes them a while to send them then input them to their own systems). Might be worth asking your old GP if he/she is local and friendly for the record. smile.png

Frankly, access to your own records ought to be free and they're required to give them to you under the freedom of information act, but the act does allow those being requested to charge nominal "administration" fees in order to supply you with any information you request.

If it makes you feel any better, if you don't get your GP to do it - the Knightsbridge doctors charge £30 or £40 per jab if you have them do them at that stage, so as long as you're paying less total than that, you've made a saving?

3? You only need 2 MMR jabs.

i meant 3 as in mumps, measles and rubella, when i was younger they was 3 jabs and not just a single jab

  12. i had to get an MMR jab yesterday at my local doctors, (didnt get all 3 done when i was younger so needed to have it to be sure) and the nurse who did it just printed me off a copy of my records for free, if i get my police report back soon i will book my medical and if they ask about the MMR as its not on my records i'll explain that i am in middle of getting it done and just waiting on the booster jab in 4 weeks
