Yes, I think it's definitely best to book a date. I think right now you can book as far as September or October on the calendar. When your able, go in and book as far in advance as you can. Then, a week or two before the interview, reschedule for an even later date. You may get one late Nov or even December!

From what I've read, this is a date that is used as a 'this case should be approved by THIS date'. It seems like its more of a deadline for the visa system in general. Kinda like the 5 month estimate made by the USCIS in the beginning to have your approval back by a certain month. I truly think you'll be fine. I'm also waiting our our case #. NVC has yet to receive our info from Vermont. It's frustrating! I really hope it shows up next week and a case # is assigned quickly!

We got our NOA2 yesterday, got the NOA1 January 26th....So, even better news: I think yours will show up early next week!

Patiently waiting for Vermont to forward our case to NVC so they can assign our Montreal case #! So far, this has been the worst wait. Not knowing if it could be a few days or a month! Ahhh!

Hey! Well, they received our packet 3 on July 4 via Xpresspost and I got an email on July 6 and it was my packet 4!!! Couldn't believe it. The earliest interview appointment available was only 17 days away. I am going to Momtreal this Thursday for the medical on Friday and heading back to Montreal again for the interview on the 23rd! Momtreal is on fire!!! ...

I made it! POE review to come shortly. Still in awe that this day has finally come!

No DHL Waybill # yet...

I wonder how long it will take them to send out the passports? My guess is that they'll be sending them as a bunch with the July 24th interview approval people...after they get them all printed of course. I just want it in my handddd! haha

Hi Gillian. Quick question: Did you use Canada Post Xpresspost to send your packet 3 to Montreal? Or did you sign up and send via DHL?

Ok, I guess I should do the same thing then. I was going to send via Xpresspost but noticed the 'courier reference ID' on the bottom of the packet 3 checklist. So, I guess I will register for DHL in order not to leave that blank on the list.
