  2. Hi Everyone. Now im really confused. I am bringing my Fiance'e over from the Ph on K-1 viea... when looking at state department website. it lists K-1 Fiance'e visa as a Nonimmigrant Visa.. Now we have a account to apply on State Departments Philippine website , To get the correct information and get ready to make our interview appointment ,K-1 can only be found on the Immigrant visa to register... Can anyone please clear this UP.. thanks...

  3. HI Everone. Everthing has been approved and we have a case # since August 14th. We have not received a package from The Manila Consulate as of yet. My question is , can we go ahead and schedule an interview? We have all the documents we need...

  6. Another question for everone, Is the letters of intent that we sent USCIS and also two new ones with recent Dates , proof enough for the interview at the embassy that we are engaged to be married? or should I start to panic? She is my Fiance'e but have not purchased a ring yet. I wanted her to come here so we can pick one out together.

  7. Hello and Congrats!

My fiance' went through the process back in April-May. The medical can go smoothly at time and can be done in 2 days. My fiance had to come back several times because she had to get a psychological exam. She admitted she experiment with drug twice in her youth. So, she had to come back the following week for the exam. If she does not have a history like that and pass her TB exam, she could have here results released to her in about 3 day after the exam. She needs get to the St. Luke's Medical Center (SLMC)as early as possible. I am assuming she has to travel to Manila. I really suggest you book her a hotel to stay in during this durations of the medical exam. She can arrive at SLMC around 5 AM to check in. The exams begin at 7 or 8 am. I suggest she schedules online to speed up the exam process. Must have passport, 4 passport (2x2) photo, her MNL# from the NIV. I think that is it for the exam. She needs to get her exam done on Monday because the TB results takes about 48 hours. If she passes her Medical she can schedule her interview ASAP. I suggest wait about a week after the exam so the results can be sent to the US Embassy Manila. I hope this helps! Good Luck!

    Michael

Thanks Michael. I will , and good luck to you too... keep us informemed on progress...

we just finished our medical exam yesterday. I flew my spouse in from tacloban to get it done early, in case there was a problem, and because she has some other legal issues to resolve. In our case, the medical exam toke two days. At the end of it, they leave you with two items. That appear to provide proof of medical exam. a) CD with chest xray, b) Summary document. Our original plan was to fly her there 1 week before the interview. Be careful to check availability of the hospital. this week they were closed mon and tues.

Thanks for the information. I wil make sure she has everthing she needs ...
