  1. Hello Vjers,

Good to be here again. Hope you all had a very merry christmas cos i certainly did. I am with my sweet heart now and we got married last week         . We are filing for adjustment of Status now and i've read quite a lot about what we should do but am still not clear about a lot of things. Can some one help with any valuable information on how we can go about filing? the forms to fill? (p.s do we need to fill another I-864 form???). Am awaiting replies cos we want to mail out today...

    Thank you

  2. Yes, but he will have to list his wife when it asks about sponsoring someone else and he will need to have enough income to cover all of you. So that is a household of 4 plus any children that may be involved. Best luck to you.

Thank you for ur response. That would be four of us actually. Is he supposed to write a letter he will include to his tax records listing his wife as a dependent or is d question included in d forms he has to fill?

Anyone with additional info pls kindly post...thank u all...

  3. Hello vjers,

    FOLLOW UP QUESTION

My fiance is currently not working because he is rounding off his degree at the university so we decided to ask his dad to co-sponsor us. He agreed. Now my question is this, his dad petitioned for his fiancee last year and she was granted her visa in March of this year 2012, she is currently married to him in the states. Can he still use the same tax clearance papers and records to co-sponsor his son my fiance? Will it be accepted?

Thank you for your helpful response.

  4. Hello

Pls how do I know dat my papers have arrived d conulate in nigeria. We got info from NVC that my papers left for d consulate last week Wednesday that's 26th sep, I sent them a mail on lagosiv@state.gov and they r still yet to reply me. Pls kindly advice. Thank u

  5. No but the co-sponsor has to be willing to give u very sensitive documents and be willing to sponsor u even if the marriage ends in divorce. Bc they will co-sponsor u with the I-134 affidavit of support and then again here during AOS where they would be signing a document saying they are sponsoring you so you will not become a burden for the USA.

    Thank u.

Does d co sponsor have to mail d originals if his pay stubs, letter of employment and tax payments to me for my interview or will d photocopies be okay?

  6. Hello all,

    Thank u

  8. Dear Vjers,

We went on the USCIS site yesterday, logged in our details and discovered we had an RFE. My Fiance called them on their call center numbers to find out what the RFE was for and how to go about replying it, only to be told he has to wait for 15 days to receive a formal mail from them before replying.

Please any information or advice from you guys will be so appreciated :help::help::help::help:

  9. Dear VJers,

My fiance and I filed in February 2012 though we received our NOA1 on March 7th. When i spoke with him today he told me he was on the phone with USCIS yesterday night and was told our case is at the NVC in vermont . My question is, is that even possible?

From the process outlined on VJ, we are to be approved before going on to NVC...does any one have any answers?

    Thank you
