  1. Just got our interview date from email today!! today is a great day! :crying:

Hope you give yourself plenty of time between your medical exam and your interview date. My wife had an interview date for May 8 and we went one week before for the medical at St. Lukes and there was a problem. The interview was canceled and she had to do extra testing. Now she has to wait 2 months for new testing at St Lukes. Ends up being a 3 to 4 month delay. Many at St Luke have the same situation. It's not a sure thing. Good Luck.

Be patient. It always takes them about one month before it reaches the proper people. And I can tell you that I just received an e mail from the NVC 2 days ago saying that K1 visa applications will take a little longer because of the large amount received recently. The e mail said up to 30 days extra. Also in the future, use FedEx to mail anything to them. This way you can be assured that they received the package. If they allow you to e mail documents, use that feature also. I did not have any problems using e mail or FedEx. Good Luck

  3. Hello VJ'ers... I would like to know how true that we have to pay immigration fee? My hubby just booked our flight, our travel agent informed me to pay phil tax since hubby bought cheapest deal and tax excluded,i know about this.. Except the immigration fee how true, and how much it cost??

Any clarification with this matter? Any output would like to hear! Thanks guys...

There is no immigration fee for the first 21 days entering the Philippines. Leaving is another thing. There is always a 550 peso fee each person for international flights. Domestic flights are 200 pesos. These are called airport terminal fees. A recent news here said that these fees will be included in the ticket prices starting in August 2012 for domestic and international will follow a short time later. If you want to stay here more than 21 days you will need to pay immigration fees. You can do this either at a Philippine Embassy in your area or go to a Immigration office after arriving. Only needed for non filipino people. When you say that your husband bought the cheapest tickets, what does that have to do with it. All taxes are paid before you fly, not after. How would they know what passengers paid once you leave the plane? I have lived here for a year now on a ACR-1 visa and I just found out that if you stay here for an extended time, you need an exit visa, for a cost of course of more than 4500 pesos. They get you for everything here.
