  1. Hello Vj fam,

I am currently working on my application, even though I've been preparing already for the test. So far, the documents that I gathered are bills, taxes and photographs. My question is, what other necessary documents I need to include? I can't think of any apart from what I listed above.

    Your help is highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  2. 2) How can I zoom in the screen? Please help asap because I've an upcoming interview.

We havent been approved yet,but with facebook I did screen shoots. Not evryone knows how to do screen shot so im going to explain just in case.

    1) open up your conversation from you inbox

    2) so that the dates are very visible I zoomed in screen.

    3) on your keyboard there is a button 'PRTSC' hit the button

    4) open a word document and click paste.

Then keep scrolling throughout your convo and hit the prtsc button each time

  3. Question 1) Yes, all 3 need to be present at the interview on one appointment date (not separate dates). "Others will chime in, if I missed something. Good luck

Greetings. My name is Erik. First post and of course... panicked.

I do not know how much back story you need; so I am front loading it.

My fiancée is in Belarus. She has two minor children, age 15, age 2. We applied for the I-129F; rcvd approval; submitted the paperwork to the embassy; rcvd letter from Embassy for the medical exams, etc. They finished their medicals and have the results. All documents gathered and ready. :)

We cannot use the US Embassy in Belarus; we were assigned to the US Embassy in Warsaw, Poland.

She is going to Warsaw, Poland on Monday to pay the fees, schedule appointment, and interview. The 15 year old will go for the interview also. In the letter from the Embassy, it states that children under 14 years do not need to be present at the scheduled interview. So we planned for the 2 year old to stay with grandma. :)

Today: I called the US Embassy in Warsaw. I was trying to get the actual address of the bank to pay the fees and to ask what I thought was a simpler question. I asked:

After we pay the three visa fees; do we file the DS-154 once for my fiancée and the two children? Or, do we file the DS-154 once for each of them (three total DS-154)? Also, after we file the form(s); do we schedule one appointment for fiancée and 15 year old; or is it two separate interviews?

The answer was: All three need to schedule an appointment and be interviewed. That the 2 year old needed to be present and schedule an appointment for an interview. Then she added; that I need to be there also. I have not read anything that stated I was required to be there. I would like to be there; but a little cost prohibitive.

I read the letter to her stating under 14 years old are exempt; she stated she did not know what I was reading.

Also, I wanted to confirm the visa, when approved, would be issued same-day or next-day. She stated that after approval in the interview "it will take 10 to 20 business days for the visa to be issued." She told me that any further questions; I should refer US TravelDocs online.

Now I'm confused, frustrated, and really panicking. I called back to talked with someone else and was disconnected several times. I have not had good luck contacting a person. Finally got through and was only referred back to US TravelDocs website. He would not answer any more questions as because of the time difference; it was the end of the business day.

Now she is leaving for Poland in 36 hours and we are worried. I assume that was really bad information I received; but I am not sure what to do.

    Questions:

    1) Does anyone know if the 2 year needs to be present?

From everything I read in the information from the US Embassy; everything stated No. Having to cancel this trip and start planning over... :( It took a month to get my fiancée and the 15 year old a visa to travel from Belarus to Poland. Travel and hotel are non-refundable.

Assuming that the 2 year old does not need to be present:

    2) After we pay the three visa fees; we file the DS-156 online. Do we file one DS-156 for all three; or do we file a DS-156 three times?

    3) After filing the DS-156 or the multiple DS-156; do I schedule one interview for fiancée and 15 year old? Or do we schedule two separate interviews?

    4) And... does any know the address for: Bank Pocztowy Branches (Placowka Banku Pocztowego)? I found an address of a branch I think is near the US Embassy; but I don't know if this is right. Polna 11, Swietokrzyska 31/33.

I appreciate any and all help. I did try to find these answers on the forums. If this has already been answered; directions to the proper forum page would be great! I did find some great threads while searching. That would of helped me avoid a RFE. If only I had found this site before today...

    Thank you. God Bless.

Live in Colorado. Heart is in Belarus.

    Erik..

  4. I am in the same boat as you. We gotta our NOA2 in July 03/2012 and still stuck coz the biological father of my 10 yrs old daughter does not want to give the consent with unreasonable grounds. With us we started the court in January 2012 and still waiting. I'm hoping it'll be overuled by this month.

I'm not a Fillipino so I'm hoping others will chime in.

All the best of luck to us all:-) and remember you really need the consent!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone had some experience with an issue that's recently crossed our path...

My fiance and I would like to obtain a K2 Visa on her son of whom we will raise as our own child. This issue has to do with the question, "do we have to get the consent of the biological father"?

Note that the child's birth certificate does not show the name of the biological father and he has never been involved with the child in a parenting roll at any point.

The child is 4 years old and actually considers me, and I the same, his daddy.

Does anyone know what the requirements are in relation to our situation?

Thanks in advance for any experienced input on the matter.

  5. you mean the date on case status?

if that's what you mean, you can see that when you type your case number

in the USCIS home page "my case status".

    http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

if you are talking about the day he said he submitted, I just asked him

because there's no other way I can find out the date...

Hi, with your curiosity, the date you are seeing on the web case status is not the submission date.

That is the date your application was touched.

  6. thank you all.. when you feel nervous and worried about the result of your interview pls always say this verse " For He who is mighty has done great things for me" Luke 1:49 this is my verse when i am very very nervous on my interview day and the day before my interview.. i also mention this verse

    Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

thats why i am very blessed on my interview, everythinggggggg went very very easy for me.. may God guide you too in your process..

This is what faith is all about! I was impressed by your faith and the quotes.

God is really good! Thanks for that strong reminder, that there is a God above whose ways are far beyond ours.

Congrats.....have a safe trip to the US.

  7. To all Vermont filers!

Patience patience patience. It pays to wait :bonk:

CA is really moving fast in approving petitions, because Im one of them  but it seems to me that, Vermont is too slow. Maybe shortage of staffs????

Best wishes to everyone who is waiting

  8. Sorry, may I clarify?

So you are the beneficiary and you are unemployed, you also have a child who is 10 , is that correct?

If that is correct, your employment status is not of any interest to the USCIS as far as I am aware as you will not be able to work for 2-4 months once you enter the US anyway.

In regards to the K2 and your child, I believe they can go to the interview with you.

I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along to correct anything I have wrong shortly.

    Xanax, salute yu!

Yes Im the beneficiary, with a 10years old daughter.

Your reply was quick than I thought! :star:

  9. Hi VJers. Need your input on your previous interview xperience for K1/K2.

Since my arrival at home last year June 2011 from th US, (lived thre for two years)I barely got a job or secure employment. However; I only worked from Oct-Dec 2011 respectivelly on a contract job.

    Two simple questions;

    1) Our interview is about in two months or simple as next month august. The fact that Im not currently at a very good financial standard will that raise a red flag at the interview?

    2) Will my little own aged 10years can also be intervied?

Im not terried at all. Im currently preparing myself and gather as many info as i can.

    Your input, is appreciated

  10. Kudos to everybody

I have to admit that, Im no longer checking the USCIS website. Simply because our petition have been approved July 03. See my timeline:-) Im soo happy and cant wait for the PACKETS to flow to US consulate in Namibia.

Since our petition was approved via CA centre, it is likey that, once your petition is hanging in IR, it'll just end-up in PDA.

The day before ours have been approved I checked the case status on July 2 and it was indeed in IR and than the next day which was the 3rd, my fiance calls me early to share the good news because he has received a text.

So no worries at all if anytime you check yo case status it shows IR. Once its approved it goes quickly to PDA passing D-i dunno why D is there for  (this is for CA petitioners only). I dunno know much about Vermont and others....

All the best to ya'll guys. Patience patience patience. It pays to wait. :bonk:
