I pray for all who are in AP to get their visa soon inshallah.i Understand the pain what people are going thru.so have patince. good luck to evryone who ever are AP.

on 18july 2012 i got a letter from the usconsulate mumbai asking a new medical.so i had medical again and submitted on 31 july 2012 and its already 8 months till now no update but try to call Department of state and find out ur present status from there u can have some information.calling vfs is waste of time.and good luck.

Khan you gat update your case my wife mumbai consulet ap since 12/06/2011 and 8 month past nothing up date any one know how long take time

did u get any email from vfs regarding medical.then i think that help u.

any way when did u had ur interview at chennai and which category.

our case also got transferred to mumbai from the chennai consulate...but we are unable to get a new medical since we do not have a letter from the consulate saying to do so....what do we need to take to the doctor to get a new medical?

i think still ur in AP.what happend did u recieve any email from us consulate ? bcoz i also emailed them regarding my case so still waitng for reply from usconsulate mumbai.

hi,i also had my interview in chennai in oct 2011,like same she also told me to wait for 4 to 6 weeks.In april have called DOS i got to know that my case got transfered from chennai to mumbai on 3 april and said that they have also send my passport back,very next day i have marked an email to mumbai VFs after 1 week i got an reply saying that ur case is pending for new medical reports and passport.So i have send my new medical and passport on 23 of may 2012,now waiting for my visa.u should call mumbai consulate not vfs tell them that wats going on with my case.

I had IR1 interview on 27 dec 2011 and got approved from the VO, But she put my case in AP for 4 to 6 weeks.After 4 months on April 3 2012. I recieved a letter from chennai US consulate that my case Has been transfered to Mumbai US consulate as chennai US consualte dont have authority to issue immigrant visa from 1 Jan 2012.

Now when i require from US consulate Mumbai by email they dont reply at all.so i called the DOS and spoked to a kind lady and she told me that my case got tranfered to mumbai from chennai But she told me that mumbai didn't recieve yet so i dont understant what's going on with my case?got transfered on 3april2011 but still mumbai didn't recieve it.if anyone case is similar pls do comment.dam its 24 weeks nearly 6 months.

We are going to contact my senator on Monday... we have received teh scans of my daughters cyst and it's very very large.. it is most of the left side of her head and wraps around to teh back and is also a large one in the back of her head. The Neurosurgeons don't want to operate right at the moment due to the swelling in her head so they ahve given her medication to lessen the swelling and she is still on two kinds of migraine medications but still has headaches with those. The danger is if they operate she may bleed out in the brain creating a bigger problem. However, if she can remain stable for a little while we can be very methodical in what to do next... we will have to do something as it is pressing on her optic nerves.

I have her medical records and about 10 views of the cyst so it's very easy to see even if you're not a doctor. It shows clearly the cyst pressing the brain to one side of her head and shows where their location is very clearly as well as the size of them.

I have no clue as to whether this will help us or not. The senator basically said it can't hurt to try and if it doesn't finish the AP then at least when we are finished the visa should be issued within a day or two of printing instead of several weeks later as sometimes happens.

Just wondering if anybody ever had any experience with this... I remember one of our members did with his wife's visa as he suffered health issues and got the Defense dpt involved but he was also military.

I don't want to jump ahead of anybody but if my daughter has this surgery and bleeds out... i'll be completely broken and without my husband here i can't imagine what I would be feeling.. i'm already depressed and struggling I can't watch my daughter suffer and not hold my husbands hand...

calling VFS is just waste of time, Do u know with my case i received my passport and a letter from chennai US consulate on 15 of may 2012 and case transfer letter date was 3 april 2012,so for 1 month my passport was kept in chennai consulate and my PCC is going to get expire in june.

yes i already send email to vfs mumbai but no response from them.this vfs guys are good for nothing they dont know anything.actually i recieved a letter from chennai consulate on april 3 2012 with my passport that my case been transfered from chennai to mumbai and they asked me to contact vfs mumbai.

Did u send an email to mumbai US consulate and whr is ur passport.

aswk,i had my interview in chennai us consulate in OCT CO told me to wait for 4 to 6 weeks till they complete AP but in april i got an email from mumbai us consulate that ur case has been transfered from chennai to mumbai again in last week of april asked for new medical and passport so i have send it.

my visa category is IR2 and it has been 6 months they kept my passport and said will send ur visa after administrative processing and also said me that it can take 4 to 6 weeks they have not issued me any slip at the time of interview am getting scared if they send my ppt like u to have new medical.

I am in similar situation. First time I got my F1 visa without AP in 1998. Second time AP in 2008 for H-1B took about a month and this time CR1 stuck in AP for close to 3 months now. As everyone mentioned above, embassy will not help you other than standard reply. Ask your wife to call department of state and the person might be able to give you more details as to what is happening in your case.

one thing i want know why they are putting me in ap again and again

1st time i went on ap when i applied for B1 visa in 2003 for 5 weeks and got issued visa(montreal,canada)

2nd time i went on ap when i applied for H1b visa in 2008 for 1 week and got issued visa(chennai,india)

3 rd time i am on ap when i applied for IR1 visa in 27 dec 2011(21 weeks) 5 months and no response from embassy.

i dont know what to do. is anybody there who had IR1 interview at chennai after sometime got case transferred to mumbai and got visa stamped pls let me know i really worried and frustrate.
