Had the interview on Monday and today we recived the letter saying "Welcome to the United States of America"!! Green card will arrive in about three weeks!
I have no idea what wouldve happened without this forum. Everytime we had questions, you guys helped. We never had RFEs or issues.
We are so incredibly happy....
Thank you so much.

Thanks so much. Youve made us feel a lot better.

Its going too fast.
My now husband got here in February, we got married in march, had our honeymoon and started filling out documents in April. Sent out documents (I 485 and EAD) and we got the appointment for the interview for the 22 of july, so in less than a month. We are supposed to demonstrate how well our marriage is going and all. Of course it is, but my husband hasnt even recieved his EAD yet... How are we supposed to show proof of how adjusted he is.. if its so early? He hasnt even been here 6 months yet.
We are sort of freaking out. -
We mailed our (my husband's) adjustment of status, and work permit documents a week ago. His I-94 will expire in about a week. We obviously got married within the 90 days and all. But will there be something for him to show after the 90 days that shows he is legally here? Ive been told he will be "out of status"... which just sounds scary, and is kind of confusing...

So we are filling out the form at the moment. And we hadnt even noticed we need a "vaccination supplement" until now. I just saw a thread with a similar question, but dont want to take it over with mine...
How are we supposed to do form I-693 without any evidence for the civil surgeon that he (my now husband) already had a medical before coming to the US? He had to do it in order to get the K1 visa. And then the doctors sealed the information. So obviously he couldnt get a copy of all this. We wanted to send the entire packet in the next couple of days. But now we are worried about that missing information. Can the civil surgeon get a hold of the information that the consulate and immigration officers received? Can we just make a note in the packet that the medical was done overseas in order to get the visa and have no copies?
Please help!!!

Thank you very much, guys.

So we did the k-1 visa. My now husband (he is from chile) arrived here a couple months ago and we finally got married almost 3 weeks ago. That visa would have been expired on the 10th of May if he didn't get married within 90 days, of course. We are filling out the Adjustment of Status packet as I type. Gonna send it out this coming week. But my question is, will he be here legally after that date? Because, we did get married, and we are doing all the paperwork... And will send it before the 10th. What will his "status" be after that day?

I cant believe I never saw that before. Thank you!

Im helping out filling out my fiance's document cuz he is really busy right now (he has his medical tomorrow. AAHH)
Anyways, one question is:
"Do you intend to work in the US? if YES, give name and complete address of employer"
Of course he does plan to work... but once we marry and all. So we dont know how to answer this.
HELP.

My fiance already has his interview date - October 15th in Santiago, Chile.
We know we need to pay 240 dollars. BUT WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE OR HOW. :/
Anybody with some insight please?
-
Nevermind. Going with daughters fiance.

ANOTHER QUESTION.
My dad is going to be the co-sponsor. So, where it says my fiance's 'relationship to sponsor'
What should we put 'future son-in law' or 'daughter's fiance'?
-
But you need to sign them... If your fiance prints them they wouldnt have your real signature.
Im actually filling mine out right now too.

At the very end of the form it says
I intend or I do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person, etc etc...........
I have to check intend or not intend.
I dont understand this question. I of course intend to support him, but we dont have like.. a specific amount of money a week or whatever. Food, clothing, etc is going to be given as needed.... Hes going to be my husband, not my nephew for me to give 20 bucks a week for being nice. Haha.
So what do i chose?
-
I also was going to post a similar question. Mi fiance hasnt somked pot in like 5 or 6 years. But his friends still do... And him being around that.. would it affect him? Ugh, this is making me sick. He has his medical this month.
-
I have actually been wondering the same. The good thing is he is coming right before the holidays... he will probably want to see all the Christmasy stuff everywhere. In Chile they have Christmas during their summer. Washington State is the complete opposite. Hopefully he will like that. But im making a stash of movies for him to watch and comics for him to read. XD

My man called me today to tell me the good news. He has the interview October 15th! In Chile they send packets 3 and 4 together and they take all of that to the interview. So nervous and excited...

Me and my fiance have had problems before as well. But I think it is part of this whole process. We all know how difficult it is to have long distance relationships and how hard it might be for the person who is in the foreign country to move from theirs to ours...
I think you guys should talk it through. It would be terrible if you just quit. You've been through a lot. I wish you the best.
-
Also, to answer a question above... he is from Chile.
-
Ok guys, thank you. I already asked my bosses if they could write a letter stating that I have a full time and permanent job. They are gonna add how much I make and other information. I think I make 19000 a year. Since its almost the exact amount of what im supposed to earn, should I still tell my dad to help out?
-
Uuuh, so... I am not rich. I work retail. I get paid decently. Buuttt...
How much money am I supposed to have in my bank and in savings at this precise moment to prove I can support my soon to be husband?
My dad said he is willing to help too. Should he fill out the i-134 form also?
I feel kind of sick right now....

Got the NOA2 in the mail just a few minutes ago... I am so happy. Didn't get any RFE.
Even though I didn't post here much, everyones posts certainly did help us a lot.
And now to focus on the next steps...
-
Hey guys, so right now im waiting for news. Mostly... to see if I get the RFE. If its needed, how long do they usually take to send it?
