  1. Its going too fast.

My now husband got here in February, we got married in march, had our honeymoon and started filling out documents in April. Sent out documents (I 485 and EAD) and we got the appointment for the interview for the 22 of july, so in less than a month. We are supposed to demonstrate how well our marriage is going and all. Of course it is, but my husband hasnt even recieved his EAD yet... How are we supposed to show proof of how adjusted he is.. if its so early? He hasnt even been here 6 months yet.

We are sort of freaking out.

  2. So we are filling out the form at the moment. And we hadnt even noticed we need a "vaccination supplement" until now. I just saw a thread with a similar question, but dont want to take it over with mine...

How are we supposed to do form I-693 without any evidence for the civil surgeon that he (my now husband) already had a medical before coming to the US? He had to do it in order to get the K1 visa. And then the doctors sealed the information. So obviously he couldnt get a copy of all this. We wanted to send the entire packet in the next couple of days. But now we are worried about that missing information. Can the civil surgeon get a hold of the information that the consulate and immigration officers received? Can we just make a note in the packet that the medical was done overseas in order to get the visa and have no copies?

    Please help!!!

  3. So we did the k-1 visa. My now husband (he is from chile) arrived here a couple months ago and we finally got married almost 3 weeks ago. That visa would have been expired on the 10th of May if he didn't get married within 90 days, of course. We are filling out the Adjustment of Status packet as I type. Gonna send it out this coming week. But my question is, will he be here legally after that date? Because, we did get married, and we are doing all the paperwork... And will send it before the 10th. What will his "status" be after that day?

  4. At the very end of the form it says

I intend or I do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person, etc etc...........

I have to check intend or not intend.

I dont understand this question. I of course intend to support him, but we dont have like.. a specific amount of money a week or whatever. Food, clothing, etc is going to be given as needed.... Hes going to be my husband, not my nephew for me to give 20 bucks a week for being nice. Haha.

    So what do i chose?

  5. Me and my fiance have had problems before as well. But I think it is part of this whole process. We all know how difficult it is to have long distance relationships and how hard it might be for the person who is in the foreign country to move from theirs to ours...

I think you guys should talk it through. It would be terrible if you just quit. You've been through a lot. I wish you the best.
