  1. Under his tips he said Cambodia does not accept plane tickets or boarding passes, however I am pretty certain a copy of the visa/passport stamps would be looked at.

Yes, US embassy in Cambodia does not accept these kind of proofs because when I handed them my fiance plane tickets and boarding passes, the officer did not accept and told me that those are not the proof of relationship.

By the way, you are right because consulate looked at my fiance passport about his entrance in my country (he attended my interview). :D

  2. Thank you my friend. It was really helpful and our case seem to be familiar. Are the plane tickets or boarding pass required?

    Dear friend,

Plane tickets and boarding passes are not required for this paper work but most of us use them to be one of the proofs of meeting in person in 2 years of relationship. By the way you can use your Cambodia visa stamp in your passport.

    Good luck!

  3. Does facebook chat qualify as the proof of ongoing relationship?

    Thank you,

    Jonny Vorn

    Hey my friend,

This is what my fiance attached with I-129F packet:-

    1. Photos (maybe 10 or something)

    2. Yahoo chat conversations (A few pages from each month)

    3. Plane tickets (2 times of visiting)

    4. Boarding passes (2 times of visiting)

    5. Hotel receipts

    6. Engagement ring receipt

We received NOA1 in a week, and NOA2 in 76 days without any reference requested.

When the interview date came, we brought more proofs like:-

    1. Emails

    2. Post Cards

    3. Flowers delivery record

    4. Express sending record

    5. All of our photos

    6. More yahoo chat conversations

Tip: US embassy in Cambodia does not accept plane ticket, boarding pass, hotel receipt, engagement letter, and parents consent as the proofs of relationship.

So I suggest you to send everything that you have now to USCIS because they will look everything in the packet that you send.

    Hope this help :)

  4. So obviously I'm new here and trying to go about this in the correct manner. I plan on marrying my Cambodian Fiancee this summer. As such I am trying to prepare first for the marriage requirements and second for the subsequent CR1 application. There is a ton of information out there and I'm soaking it all in. Happy to have found this place and thank you to so many who post information.

My question is this, what would be considered as the "Certificate of Profession and Monthly Income" as required by the Cambodian Government? I have figured out what is required/sufficient for all of the other documentation except this one. I'm unsure if this is something I'll need to take care of via my employer, if some pay stubs will suffice, etc. There seems to be very little information on the net about this.

I have requested of my fiancee to go to the MFA and get the marriage packet so that she can read it and send me images of the pages so I have all of the correct items with me.

Thank you for any ideas or assistance.

    Hey,

    Have you ever read this?

    Hope it helps :)

    Best of luck

  6. I filed my papers for I-129f with this guy that has processed a lot of peoples cases. Only thing is its been over a month now and USCIS has not received anything. I think he may have just took my money because I paid him $340 in cash and another $300.00 also in cash for his services.. It's either that or he just didn't send my papers in yet.... gahh I'm so frustrated. The person who processed these papers told me he brought his wife here in 3 months flat. I feel like at this rate I won't be able to see my girl until fall or maybe even next year :crying: I just hope I receive some kind of notice soon to know at least they are starting to process my case. Hoping for the best..

First of all I am so sorry to hear about that. You should call to USCIS whether they have received your packet yet. You have to contact this guy to ask what's going on? Is he an Anthony? What make you trust him this much? What kind of service? If I were you and I found out that this guy cheat me, I would report to police right away.

One more thing, I see your process is k1 visa but you said you already married your girl, what does it mean? If you guys process k1 visa you can't marry her in Cambodia. You both will have 90days to get married in the US after her arrival.

  7. Dear all my vj friends :)

I would like to share good news to everyone that my visa has been approved and now I am in the US with my fiance and his family. They are really nice to me specially my fiance, he is the BEST ever (L) .

Lots of thanks to everyone who always care and give us all good advices in the process from the start till today. We really appreciated it. You guys awesome.

To those who is in the process still, please stay strong and think positive. True love always win everything :)

To my Cambodian friends here, please feel free to ask any questions you guys want to know from me. I am happy to tell everything that I know.

    Best of luck to everyone,

Line (L) Seth forever and always

  8. On January 13th my fiancee pass her interview in Cambodia!!! woooooo hoooo. I am so excited and happy. What an amazing relief. I wish each of you the same result!! She was asked my name, my occupation, my sons name and about him, what I like to do, have I been married and when I got divorced, if I had come to visit her in Cambodia. how we met.

    Big Big Big Congratulation :)

    Thanks for questions tho :D

Best of luck and enjoy life of being with your beloved one !

  9. 18,912$ is this for every country? I am trying to sponsor my fiancee but I heard I have to make a monthly income of atleast 2500 and I make that much if I work 65 hours a week.Although I am willing to sacrifice the time, I am worried my case will be denied because of this.

Bro, what you have heard is the law of "Getting Married in Cambodia" it does not apply to us (k1 fiancee visa) please see the link below.

    http://cambodia.usembassy.gov/getting_married_in_cambodia.html

For k1 fiancee visa, you (USC, petitioner) have to reach 125% poverty guideline which is 18,912 USD or higher for 2 people to sponsor your fiancee from any country (like us Cambodia :) ) to US and get married in 90 days after entry.

  10. Ok, sending my I-129f to the Texas Lockbox this morning!

I've found this site's resources a MAJOR help in getting everything together

    I've got:

*Cover Letter (listing all the items in the packet

    *G1145 E-Notification

*Money Order to the US Department of Homeland Security for $340

    *I-129f

*G325A with passport pics for both me and her

*Letters of intent, one for her, one for me

    *Copy of Birth Certificate

*Copy of All Pages of Passport

*Evidence of having met in past two years

I'm just a little worried about evidence of having met in the past two years, but here's what I have

*Primary Evidence: Copy of all pages of my passport showing entry and exit stamps for my most recent trip (Aug 2012-Nov 2012), Bank Statements showing ATM Withdrawals in Phnom Penh as well as Ta Khmao (the city where she lives), Attendance records and grade reports on a bible study class we took together (rather unimpressive looking, but it's the only thing that has both our names), and a Certification of the part-time job I held in Phnom Penh from Sept thru November.

*Secondary Evidence: Photos (10) of us at several occasions (including our flashy engagement pics and our engagement ceremory), several of them are dated.

I don't have ANYTHING else I can possibly think of, especially something that has both her name and my name. Most things were done with cash there, it's just kind of how it is there.

+Evidence of continuing relationship (December's long-distance phone bill from REBTEL)

Here was everything that my fiance sent to USCIS :-

    1. I-129F cover letter

    2. Check 340 USD

    3. Form I-129F

    4. Form G-325A (his and mine)

    5. Letter of intent (his and mine)

    6. Passport size photos (his and mine)

    7. His birth certificate

    8. Plane tickets (Oct 2011, April 2012)

    9. Boarding passes

    10. Hotel Receipts (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville)

    11. Engagement ring receipt with Cambodian translation

    12. Our photos

    13. Our yahoo chats conversation

We got approved in 76 days  I suggest you to start saving everything that related to your daily contact with her. Only phone bills might not enough for ongoing relationship evidence (sorry, but it is just my opinion tho)

Read this guide...It is very helpful

    Best of luck :)

  11. Two years anniversary? that's fantastic! It was a sad moment separating from the airport. I'm so happy for the two of you! It'll be honeymoon in paradise lol. How did you survive for the eight months being separated? Happy Anniversary. Are you two married?

Yes 2 years anniversary in relationship  we will get married after the k1 visa finished, no matter what the result will be :P

I pass, I will move there and get married (L)

I fail, he will move here and get marriend (L)

  12. I am not here to ask advices or anything..

Just want to share that my husband passed away this morning... peacefully... he had brain cancer and we have been fighting for more than a year now... there was a point in our fight that we thought we are winning... but we lost... i am just thankful that he passed away peacefully... in his sleep, and i got the chance to tell him everyday that i love him... and that he is my love, my life, my world, my home and my everything...

Whenever I read people here posting marriage not working out, just using me for greencard, giving up... and a lot of things... i am so sad...

I found the perfect husband... the perfect person... and yet he was taken away from me in such a short time...

I promise I will honor his name... i will honor our love... and I do not think I could love other person as much as I loved him... and still loving him... my love for him will not die until my last breath...

My eyes are wet as I am typing this message to you...I am really so sorry to hear that you lost the love of your life, but believe me sis it is only his body that gone, never his heart or his love for you. Big hug sis and stay strong....May his soul rest in peace (F)

  13. Sorry to hear about his visitor visa was denied.

The last time I saw my fiancé was April 22 2012, at 10:50pm at the airport. Actually it has been 8 months and 8 days already, but I am going to see my sweet potato again in the next 13 days from now  I am so excited and I can't wait to celebrate our 2 years anniversary together (L)

Again, good things will come to those who wait = PATIENCE

  14. First of all, would like to say sorry to hear this happened to her, but I'm glad that she is fine.

I think she has her police report so the consulate would understand about her situation.

She can get a new passport as soon as how much money you dare to spend. She can get new passport done in 1 day but it costs around 500$.

My suggestion is go to make new passport now (pay for the one that could be done in 1 week or earlier) and bring her police report to the embassy for her interview.

She might get reschedule appointment...sorry to say that but expect the unexpected.

    Best of luck!

  15. Hello my all dear friends,

Here is me again, I have one doubt about form I-134 question 11.

My fiancé filled it follow the example form here which he did not check neither "intent" or "do not intent" just leave it both blank and typed below "N/A K1-Visa for Permanent Residence" and we thought everything was good to go till one friend here who got through the K1 process with US consulate officer in Cambodia told me that he left that box unchecked and it caused him problem during the interview when the officer required him to refill it again with his original signature.

I have to send packet 3 to the embassy by tomorrow and I don't know what should I do now.

Should I send it as it is, or should I check the box "intent" on behalf of my fiancé with a black pen?

Any comments would be more than appreciated :)
