Does anyone know how accurate Igor's list is for I-751? Seems like VSC is speeding up lately.

So when my husband and I split up I was virtually homeless and moved around a lot. I used a PO box in the beginning since I didn't have a stable address. So I changed addresses 4 times since February online. I have finally found a place to live and a decent job. So I changed my address hopefully for the last time. Unfortunately, I made a mistake with the zip code so I corrected it by changing it again. Well, I get a letter from USCIS saying that this request is being transferred to CSC. My I-751 is being processed in Vermont. I tried calling the national center and explaining the situation to them. They were no help. I am wondering if my ENTIRE I-751 is being moved from VSC to CSC or just the inquiry about all the address changes?

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE OR THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS??? THANKS IN ADVANCE

So I sent my I-751 and VSC received it April 12th, 2014...It's been over 2 weeks. Personal check not cashed, No NOA1...Anyone else sent theirs around the same time? Time to worry?

Basically, I feel stranded...

My divorce should be finalized next month and I am temporarily living on a friend's couch. I was thinking to head back to Canada after I send out the I-751 with waiver.

Is it a bad idea to go back to Canada for a few months during 1-751 with waiver? I know I will be called for biometrics after about a month.

Also, are all correspondence from USCIS done via email? Biometrics app? RFE? Interview? SInce I am not living at a firm address I have a P.O box and if I am in Canada I would need to be notified...

Does anyone know if filing with a waiver takes longer than without. The current processing time is 4.5 months for I-751.

Any thoughts would help.

I have not been here for awhile and the past 1.5 years flew right by. A lot has happened and so much for a fairy tale ending. We are in divorce proceedings and I will be filing to remove the conditions with a waiver next month. I'd like some feedback as to if you believe this will suffice. My questions is...Should I resubmit the evidence that was initially sent with the I-130, to establish a bonafide relationship prior to marriage and prior to CR1 since I am filing with a waiver?

That's weird. Yeah he did sign it. I remember when we first went up to the very first window to give her all our paperwork she went through each and every paper and made sure it was all filled out and signed correctly.

I guess wait and see...I just emailed Saylin...maybe she knows what's going on....because on her wiki, updated Oct 28 there's no mention of needing to bring the 230, and it's very detailed....

When was your interview? If it was like today or Friday....give it until this coming up Friday to see if you receive your visa. We got ours 2 days later. And if you don't hear anything from them, send an email or call DOS and have them look to see if the visa was issued.

interview was today...they took the i-864 but not the IV 230 which i prefilled....only thing i can think of is that they are phasing it out....according to saylin's wiki on montreal she makes no mention of bringing the 230.

the thing is on the nvc letter under document status..it says:

1-immigrant visa part 1 document status R

2-immigrant visa part 2 document status R

R means The electronic ds-260 form has been submitted and reviewed

Ok that makes me feel a bit better...and you guys submitted the ds 260 online correct?

Ok so...I was approved...got the welcome to america letter, but I didn't sign the hard copy of the DS 230 part 2 at the consulate like everyone here said I would have to do. I did the DS-260 electronically and the NVC letter stated that they had received the DS 260. Did anyone else NOT have to sign the DS 230 hard copy at the interview??? AND GET THIS!!!! The NVC stated that we would need a co-sponsor which we didn't have because my husband makes a few thousand under the poverty level... for which I submitted evidence of cash in our bank account to NVC. So I brought all the financial evidence to the interview and he didn't even ask for it!!! #######?????????

Please if anyone has any thoughts as to what is going on

Ok just came back from Montreal consulate, had the interview, got welcome letter but I did not sign any papers, like the hard copy of the ds-260-ds-230. DO they just accept the one online? I was sworn in and all but I was under the impression that I had to sign that famous part 2 in front of them!!!! DId the consular officer miss a step??????

So We are now required to fill in the online 260...would anyone know if we bring the 230 hard copy pre-filled since we must sign part 2 in front of them???

If you do the online version of that form, it only requires the info from your last 3 visits. So, if you are doing the paper version, I agree with pushbrk, just note your last two, and then state there's been plenty more.

Along the same topic....would anyone know if we are to bring a hard copy of the ds-230 prefilled to the interview? I filled out the ds-260 online but i know we have to sign part 2....so not sure if we bring it or they supply it...

So I was very happy yesterday because I called the NVC and they had told me case complete. I just now get an email that in fact it's complete but that the petitioner does not appear to meet the minimum poverty (which we know because he is self-employed declared 13000 current annual income, 29000 last year) They say that I could go with a co-sponsor, we don't have one. However, we have shown 157,000 US dollars in cash between my husband and I in a US bank account!!!!! which is more than enough!!!! I am panicking please help!!! They say the consular officer will make a decision at the time of the interview....this is the letter:

the Affidavit of Support. Please be advised that the Affidavit of Support

information you have provided does not appear to meet the minimum

income requirement according to the current poverty guidelines to sponsor

the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. The consular officer will make

So has anyone ever received this letter with lacking income but using assets to qualify????

any thoughts would be appreciated- worried sick!

update: i called nvc and they said that the consular officer will make the decision regarding the assets... I don't see how there can be a problem since we are way over 3 times in cash....if anyone has any experience with this, please weigh in. thanks
