  1. Ho Chi minh City.

My wife just pass her CR1 interview today. They said they will send her the visa thru mail which barely reach to the house in Vietnam. Does anyone know how long it usually take?

  2. And you have the case number too?!!! Congrats! Yes, mine never reached NVC.So sad! So last week they got your case and issued a number right away or you had to wait for the number? So unfair, we were approved the same day!

Is it fast now? It's been a week...did you send everything in and paid all the bills already? Just wanna know how long it takes after you get your case number!

Thank You! They gave me the case number last week and issue me Invoice#, but I could not pay until the case get into their system which can take up from 10-20 days, that's what they told me but the case got into their system few days ago. I am not even close of being finish :(, NVC is pretty slow. I hope you will get your case soon, keep me update and let me know what is going on.

  3. Hi,

Any news on NVC getting your petition? They still haven't gotten mine, so we are waiting. The last time we herd from NVC research that it was EN ROUTE 2 weeks ago and it still never reached NVC. Please let me know if they received yours!

Hey Sorry my internet been down for these last couple of days. Yes, I finally receive my case number at NVC about a week ago God sake!. Yours still not at NVC yet!!??

  4. Call DoS Hotline and ask them for casefile status. Do this every two days. At some point, you'll hear a status of 'casefile opened' with HCMC IV unit, and it's THAT TIMETICK that's important - as the IV unit will be waiting on you. Prior to 'casefile opened' timetick? Not so much going on with yer case - it's in travel limbo from NVC to HCMC IV unit.

    Good Luck !

Thank You Darnell, I will contact them sometime next week and hopefully to hear some good news soon :)

  5. may take a few weeks to get a response... What do you need to find out? Calling DoS is often a good avenue..

I have not pay my IV or AOS fees yet and haven't send in IV or AOS form to NVC yet but since my case was expedite and it was granted, They send my case and file to Ho chi minh consulate. So I want it to talk to Consulate to see what I should now.

may take a few weeks to get a response... What do you need to find out? Calling DoS is often a good avenue..

By the way, Do you have DoS phone number?

  6. I expedite my case and it got granted!! :) I have not pay or send in the package such as IV and AOS. Please can someone guide me.. I am very lost!! What should I do next? Who will schedule my wife medical exam and interview date in Vietnam? By the way Expedite was due to health condition

  7. So last night we got an email from our congressman who said that our case was still at CSC and 2 minutes ago NVC research sent me an email that USCIS contacted them and said that our papers are en route!!! So today they finally sent them to NVC, yay. I hope that tomorrow we will hear that NVC has received them.

After USCIS mail to NVC, How long will it take for NVC to receive it in their mail box?

  8. Your case sounds just like mine... After I received the email from the NVC research unit I contacted my congressman and asked him to look into it... They just sent an inquiry to USCIS and the NVC to see if there is a problem with my petition...

    You should do the same

Thanks! I did write a letter to congressman and the uscis told the congressman that they are in the process reviewing my approved petition. Stupid USCIS. I am very depressed!

  9. they just replied to my congressman and told him that my petition is still in CSC and being in progress to be sent to NVC. #######!!! a month and 1 week just to send it over??? So sad.

I am in the same situation as you.. This is soooo freaking sad! I guess we are the chosen to be not lucky. I dont know when they will send mind :(

  10. you should email nvc a copy of your noa2 so they can do some research.

I did that last week and ask them where is my case is standing, they said it's still at CSC and CSC will contact NVC after they process their review is complete! so it take them more than a month to review after the case that is already approved????

this is making me go even more crazy. Can someone please help!! how can I push this case out of CSC???? they keep telling me to wait 90days! that is not right!

  11. my Approval letter was on April 23, 2012.. very frustrating.. I have 7 months old daughter that is already US citizen that is staying with her mom in Vietnam and NVC have not receive anything in the system yet... I am a little worry that it might get lost. Is it supposed to take this long???

  12. This has been frustrating me a lot too, as I was told 15 business days by the NVC for a long time then after that had passed I was told 30 by them. Approaching the 30 day mark I was being told by USCIS to wait 90 days. I asked them what would change by then. I got a canned answer. So At the 24-day in mark I talked to supervisors of both USCIS and the NVC, who advised me to contact the senator as I told them I was worried as this was a time sensitive case.

Emailing your approval notice to NVCresearch@state.gov will cause them to contact the USCIS on your behalf about your petition location.

Calling the senator will cause him to contact the NVC and he'll dig deeper to find where the case is. Finally today, my case has been received by the NVC & assigned a case # after 27 days, whether or not the additional steps helped I'm not sure, but it was worth the calls. They seem really backed up lately.

Congrats! My case is still not there at NVC yet :( its been 31days now and same answer I was getting from USCIS about the 90 day thingy. Was yours 27 business days or was it including weekends?

  13. Great, so when should we call them if our NOA2 (E-MAIL) has arrived yesterday?

Give NVC atleast 15 business days than start calling, but just remember to be patient because I received my NOA2 since April 23,2012 and the case still did not arrive to NVC yet  very frustrating!

  14. It' been 30 days for me and NVC have not receive anything from USCIS

 My case was approved on April 23, 2012 and NVC have not receive my case in their system. I emailed my Approval notice to NVC Research and their reponse back : Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your

inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice.

Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition

from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact

USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

I called USCIS they said it can take up to 90 days for NVC to receive the notice??? But NVC Told me it should be only 15-30 days??

PLEASE Help! What is going on????
