Dear friends i am so happy to say that our journey for now is o-v-e-r! my husband picked up his visa this morning and will be traveling to Florida on the 31st. This journey was definitively easier because of you VJ's! I found that we all share the same thing here. Love for a person that is very far.. but at the end .. love can do anything.
I hope that your journey is as quick as ours and we hope that (if you need) we can be of help!
God bless your journey, your marriages, your families and your lives.

I did that with my husband. he sent the documents straight from his email but it took 2 weeks for them to receive it.
you dont have to wait 20 days if you spend $$$ and do it through Fedex. She can print there (a couple of copies) sign the documents and fedex to you. it will take less than a week and you wont get in problems - she is supposed to sign.

I remember the feeling. congrats!

they say is for a year - but is so easy to get .. you can just go to the website the day before the interview and print it. that way is the most updated.

Usually one week

Meet and then decide. Marriage is supposed to be forever and you are supposed to marry your best friend.
think it over, pray and i hope that all goes well for you.

congrats! it all depends! my husband had his vaccinations done last week and spent $400K colombian pesos getting his vaccines up to date. (He didnt have his records) and then when he went to the doctor for his physical and there he had to get the influenza shot and it was another $50K colombian pesos. Then if she doesnt have them now.. she will have to get new photos taken for her medical and to take to the embassy it's $15K colombian pesos.. so if your wife's case is the same as my husband you are a looking at a total of $258 dollars.
plus lodging while in Bogota if she lives out of the city.
Hope this helps! Wish someone would've told us! We are drained!

Congrats! well, it's not possible. It takes from 5 days to 2 weeks to receive the package depending of where you do it. if she stays in Bogota is faster.

Good for you! i remember the feeling when i received mine!
-
Did you have an interview in the states or in Bogota?

also, read carefully your letter and download the rest of the package online.

search for the NVC shortcut.. it will help you a lot! we got approved on 08/06 and our case was done by 09/14 and all because they misplaced our choice of agent form.. so it doesnt take too much time! our apppointment is 10/23.. so it took 2 months and 17 days after the approval. Hope it goes even faster for you and your love one. Any questions let me know!

you should use the names of your husband like it appears on his passport and his birth certificate. it will avoid you headaches in the future.
-
i belive the form is "expedite" you can fill it out and send to USCIS or NVC depending of where your files are.
-
copy it! it's no big deal!
-
Congrats! All fees should have been charged when you bought the ticket. they will ask her to go to her ticket stamped with an "tax exemption" stamp
-
if it was something simple i could help you but 21 pages it's a lot. look for a paralegal/emigration place by you and they will translate and certified/notarized for you. it will cost you but it would be done right.
p.s - they also know what language to use!

Do i need a co-sponsor?
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures

hello!
if it's just you and your fiancé with no kids you will need to have made $19,387 the year before, they don't see what you "will potentially" make this year. they see what you made. I strongly suggest you find a co-sponsor because it's better to be safe than sorry!
