I really need some help

has this every happen to anyone- My fiance had his interview for K1 visa on june 4 at the haiti embassy. The CO gave my fiance a 221(g). for a 2nd interview with me there

on July 27, 2012: My fiance and I arrive at the embassy for the 2nd interview.

At the end of a succesfull interview, he was told by CO, " Congrats, your visa has been approved" and they kept his passport. he was not given any kind of receipt or 221G whatsoever. upon asking when i will get my passport back, he was told, You will get your passport back in 10 days and was handed over a slip which says " Welcome to America". It has been almost 1 month & we have not received the passport yet. Every time I call to check on his passport , they say the same thing: " Your passport in under process at US embassy/Consulate". On the top of that, when I called DOS, VO says, your case has been put under admin processing and they have not made a decesion yet. I do not understand this, why would they tell him,he is approved for visa at the interview and DOS says "they have not made a decision yet". Any comments, suggestions guys? How long will it take to get passport back and above all, what is the impact on outcome of all this?

Hi Andi! You will need the letter from the embassy, $295 and a valid passport, with 2 passport photos. I think that's all my fiance needed.

Hello,

We did not wait for Haiti mail. They emailed packet 3 to me and my fiance. Once we received packet 3 my fiance was able to go to Dr Buteau for his medical. After a week he was able to get his results. We paid the visa fee. He took all our documents to Haiti messenger. That day they will give you a date to come back for packet 4 (the interview letter). But you can call the Dept of State a couple of days from returning packet 3 for your interview date. If you have any question inbox me. I will help any way I can. :thumbs:
