I received my conditional green card in August 2008 through marriage to a US citizen(married Mar 2007). In July 2010, I filed to remove those conditions, was still married to the US citizen. In May 2011, we seperated, we are still married, but fight so much that it is completely awkward being aorund each other now. He does not want a divorce, however I do as I don't think there is anything that can repair the relationsip.
Anyhow, they are finally working on my I-751 now and I have an interview scheduled next week(I just found out about the interview today as I went in the local office to check on my status). I don't want to lie to them and have him come in with me to the interview and pretend like everything is happy, when it is not. But I worry if I tell them the truth, then my case will be denied and I will placed in removal proceedings.
I must note that we still have ties to each other, his health and car insurance are still covered under my policies and the car he drives is in my name.
Any suggestions on what to do? I am torn.

They stated I had not paid for the form when I sent it in. So they administratively closed my case. I had to go and obtain a copy of the money order and that it was cashed by them before they finally decided to reopen it. That took them almost a year to do all that.
I thought you had to have the conditions removed before filing for citizenship, I only learned this week that I could've filed for my citizenship already.
Contacted my congressman and never got a response from them. Sucks I know.
He agreed to go, and I will just tell the truth.
Thanks for the help.
