  1. Hello! The co-sponsor can be anybody that is a US citizen that has the financial proof. My dad is co-sponsoring for my case, even though I live in Colorado and he is in California. Living under the same roof is not required for a co-sponsor. You still have to fill out the form as the sponsor, even if you don't have a job, etc... but your co-sponsor ALSO has to fill one out. Hope this helps! Good luck!!

  2. Hello All! I am in need of help, as every phone number I've called are no help, and the US Embassy in Buenos Aires does not respond to emails, or is just taking its sweet time!!!!!!!!!!!

So - our case has been approved by NVC and sent to the embassy in Argentina, who then emailed us 'packet 3' and the instructions state:

FIRST: Complete and send us form DS-230 Part I. (Application for Immigrant Visa and Foreign Registration) and 1 photo (see instructions attached)

SECOND: Gather all the documents mentioned below that apply to your case. Please check the box on the left once you have gathered the document and send us by mail a copy of each of the documents requested together with this form. Once we have received and checked your copies, we will schedule your appointment with the Immigrant Visa Consul. On the day of the interview with the Consul, you will have to present ALL the ORIGINAL documents

We originally thought that the interview date would be scheduled after we send in the DS-230. According to these directions, it appears that we won't be given an interview appointment until we send it the entire packet as well - part of the packet includes the Medical Exam -- does this mean we can't get an appointment until AFTER my fiance in Argentina does the medical exam?? This seems like it's going to delay the process even more.

    Please help!

    Thanks so much.
