I'm STILL waiting for my interview letter. Been in this country for 16 years, on a green card for 6 years, married to an American military vet, been paying taxes all these years…. I've tried calling but they just reiterate the same information that any of us can access online. Been in-line for an interview since February 21st. Received a yellow letter early March advising me to bring my DL to the interview. All I want is for them to schedule my interview so I can know that my file is at least being shuffled around on someone's desk….

In my case, I was in line for interview since Feb27th. Then after 90 days after Feb27th , which is May 27th I called USCIS and they created a service request for me right away and informed me to call them back after 45 days or request for an INFOPASS after 45 days if i dont get any emails / call or letter from USCIS.

Then on June 12th , I was scheduled for an interview ( got an email from USCIS) and got my interview letter on June 16th and I am now waiting for my interview on July 21st.

Hope this helps. If you call them back, tell them you want them to create a service request for you.

Proud to be American! At last my visa journey come to an end!.. For those who are scheduled for interview, Dress up for your special day! take pictures as much as you can! .. bring the Oath Ceremony - Letter of appointment, your greencard and tissue!.. My interview experience in Long Island City Queens Office.

I arrived in 1:45 pm -half hour earier than schedueled time. Security checked and spoke with receptionist on the first floor. Officer took the appointment letter and instructed me sitting in the waiting room. waited about 10 minutes, another officer called my name and checked my greencard with the appointment letter. Right after return to my seat, my name was called and followed officer go to the second floor waiting room. I was told IO will call for interview through door A or door B. waited 30 minutes, a female IO called my name. I went into her office. I remain stand and swore to tell the truth. Then she have me seated. IO is very nice and professional. We went over my application form. Discussed name change or not. I said no. She also have me print my name on the photes and application. I sign my name on another 2 papers from my folder.

English test part,

IO have me read "which state has the most population?"

I read out loud.

She then wanted me wrote down " California has the most people."

I did correctly.

Civic questions:

1 who can vote?

2 What is 1 reason colonists came to America?

3 During the Cold War, What was the main concern of the United States?

4 Who signs bills to become laws?

5 What is one right or freedom from the first Amendment?

6 If the President can no longer serve, who becomes President?

I got all correct. (English teat took about 2 minutes)

She said Congrats you passed!

She walked me out of the office and told me wait outside for Oath Ceremony letter.

I waited 10 minutes and another lady came out the door C (I guess) to check if anyone waiting for the Oath Ceremony letter. I gave her my approval letter and greencard. she returned my greencard and went into door C. another 10 minutes, my name was called and the same lady gave me the approval letter and Oath Ceremony letter.

My Oath Ceremony will take place in Brooklyn Southern Distrcit Court on 6/19/14.

I had a very nice interview today. Everything goes smoothly.

FYI, there is a parking lot right cross the street. $5 for 2 hours, and $10 for all day. Suv's-$4 extra charge.

I thought to share my interview experience today. I arrived 15 mins before my interview. My husband was with me, we were told to go to a waiting room and there will be officer to call me for an interview. While waiting , I was about to read the book to review for the civic test, but my husband whispered to me that it is not good idea to show I am still studying on the day of my interview. He added, he think I must show to them that I am well prepared. Then, he meant "them" , he is pertaining to the cctv cameras all over the room!. So I just wait then, we are a bit bored, we can not do nothing because it is not allowed to use cellphone. We waited for 30 mins or 45?,( not paying attention with the time), then my name called. My husband is not allowed to go with me during the interview, which we are aware of.The IO greeted me , it takes me a while to answer back , probably I am starting to get nervous. At her room, she asked me to raise my right hand and swear in. Then, she asked my passport, drivers license and greencard. We proceed to the 10 questions, she stopped at 6th because she said I got all correct answers. After that, we handed me a paper and said to read one sentence written on it. It was a question "When is the President's day" ,after I read she said the answer and told me to write. Then, She said I passed. Then she asked me the questions from the applications. I basically answered what is being asked , such as yes and no. However, the IO had some side comments that helped me to feel a little bit calm. I signed the applications after the question and answer portions. Then she asked me to sign at the right side of my photos that I submitted with my application. She handed me a print out paper and congratulate me, that she is recommending me for approval. She asked me to wait at the waiting room to receive a letter of my schedule for OATH ceremony.Overall it took 2 hours experience. I am scheduled to gain 50 stars and 13 stripes - the Star-spangled banner in May 30 and I will have to give up 3 stars and one sun, the pearl of the orient seas.

YAY! so happy that you shared your experience to all of us....Atlanta office is really behind and hopefully my interview will be in June or July, I am still waiting for my interview letter, I spoke with USCIS IO officer today on the phone...Hopefully, it will be sooner than those months though....So this journey will finally be over.

I posted here in VJ I think you overlooked it,:-) a week after the online status of schedule for interview I got my Interview letter with date and time.

I am scheduled on May 15! I will post here my interview experience once done!

Here is my updated status online - On April 8, 2014, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

I have to share my experience before I get to this status. My application placed in line for interview last February 27, within 90 days I must wait for updates....then waiting time started. I checked almost everyday my online status thru uscis.gov site and decided to create a profile so that I can received updates via email. The next status I received was On March 31 my application was placed in line for Interview. There you go ..( panic mode!) , I did a little math with this status. I have to wait additional 30 days!. I decided to inquire about what is going on. I called customer service then informed me that I do not have to worry since my application is still within standard processing time. I am very anxious to get this application done. However ,there's nothing I can do but wait. I still checked online although I already register for email notification, I can not help myself but check. I noticed the status changed , on April 7 your application was placed in for interview!. Ok that's it ,I said to myself - I give up tracking this application. But then, today I received an email notification that on April 8 it was scheduled for interview. And... the stress to study seriously for the civic test begin!. I have to watch my mailbox now.. I think :clock:

CONGRATS to all who are now citizens...Im still waiting for my interview date.....USCIS still says the same thing since FEB27th-placed in line for interview......i am hoping i will receive the interview letter SOON.....all the notices were sent through mail right? coz i dont check my email anymore, USCIS did not update me when they had my docs, they never updated me....well, cant wait for the interview :dancing:

i got the same notice this morning... but within 90 days for me not 30 days though.

yeah we have the same update, we are still placed in line for interview scheduling, while the others are 'scheduled for an interview' already,,its ok hopefully we will have more updates this wk

I don't know what I did wrong guys please help me if you can kindly, well I mailed my N400 to the dept of homeland security at 201 varick street #5 Ny, ny 10014 does this mailing address sounds accurate to anyone? I googled the address and that's what it gave to me. Also I am currently out of the country on a get away trip in Canada at my husbands home because he is Canadian and I am a permenant US resident. I am trying to file for my US Citizenship so I can file for him to dwell with me in the USA. I got my green card through my dad he was a US citizen but he past away of Cancer in the heart on Jan-2014. It's Feb 2014 and I filled that N400 out and mailed it to the wrong dept I think but after mailing it I booked a flight to canada to get away please help, I can't afford a lawyer to do my paper work right now. I want to know what to do and where do I send the paper work to since I am from NYC. Thanks Lots and lots Xo??

I really think you should call the USCIS number. They have more accurate answers and you may also visit http://www.uscis.gov/n-400, I dont see that address google gave you is in the instruction though.

I accidentally cut my pinky finger the night before my finger print appointment. They refused to do the finger printing and asked me come back when the finger was healed. So I did my bio a week later than the appt. I don't know if this will delay the process.

Hopefully not. Its not your fault. Thats one thing I missed to write down in their suggestion box, they should really note that in the NOA so you can reschedule ahead of time and will save you time from going to and from their office.

My NOA dates is 01/14, but until now, I have not received the biometric appointment letter. Should I be concerned?

You may call the USCIS phone number and you will know the latest update/action they did on your application, hopefully your letter will come in the mail soon.

My NOA date is 1/29th and USCIS sent my Biometric appt letter last FEb6th and im hoping it'll be here tomorrow. I just learned about it, when they sent it, by calling USCIS, I did not speak to a phone rep, it's just electronic and you just need to key in your application number on your phone.

Hope his helps. It'll make you feel better if you call them to check It'll be alright

I just want to share my experience with submission.

I submitted N400 Dated 1/24/2014 via USPS Express Mail so the address I used the 2501 S State Hwy 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067. It was Friday I have options to deliver the package the following day Saturday. It was delivered Saturday at 12 noon with status : Business closed Left note. Tuesday , the package claimed. So my waiting journey begins.

I checked my bank today 1/30/2014, the amount $680.00 is being cashed and in pending status.

I forgot to attached the form for request of email notifications. So that is the only way I can check if my application is moving.

I have question here , does any one knows how long it will take to received via mail a notice of acceptance of application after USCIS cashed the cheque? any comment and advise is accepted.

Basing on the list of filers here in this thread, it seems the NOA's are dated on the same day the check was cashed or few days after that. Then base on my previous experience with USCIS, it takes 3-4 days for the mail to arrive. I am as anxious as you too, my check got cashed today and I am hoping that my NOA will be dated as today too OR hopefully they sent out the NOA's before they cashed the check and date it on the day that they received my application which is on 1/27th, I sent my application on 1/25th....So, hopefully I will receive NOA this week #fingercrossed

i sent my application on 1/25th, uscis received application on 1/27th, uscis cashed check on 1/30th....its been snowing here for 2 days that's probably why I did not receive my NOA yet, yes!!! this is indeed the last phase of our journey...

I will just be paying for my own filing right? I understand, both of my children will derive their citizenship from me...should I still pay pay for their biometrics? or NO?
