  1. Czzr,

I got my interview in a month after after the 360 was approved .. I had my lawyer calling the office every other day.. I did call too, even tho they were telling me to wait I called and called.

5 months you say you waited for interview?

could you give us your timeline?

my vawa got approved jan 29 ...

    how is everyone doing?

    Sandraj,

In order to become a citizen through vawa we have to wait 3 years after receiving our GC or after I360 approval?

    Thank you

  2. Well Panama Guy, let me tell you for starters that you made a huge mistake giving your address...you should have just your lawyers address. but the damage is done already and you need a criminal defense lawyer and you have to plead not guilty, if you get a good lawyer your case will be dismissed. I do recommend you to print all the posts that you had in this forum as well, you might need to get more proof meanwhile.

I do have a situation too, my husband send me to jail..i don't want to get into details because it is already my past but God is so good that after 2 months, scared for my life i called 911 and the same cops came to my house and arrested him, they realized they made a mistake the time they took me because he lied. I had a good criminal defense lawyer and my case was dismissed. He had 3 charges when they took him to jail and he even denied thing in court...but i had proof of everything...you need to FOCUS and get the right help. Start getting a restraining order, doesn't matter if she already claimed one..get the injunction. You need a criminal defense lawyer and an immigration lawyer for your AOS.

Hello everyone. i m sure you guys are thinking that i got my
green card already and went on vacation. Yes i was taken away for a vacation
alright...to jail. My last few weeks is been nothing but crazy. my wife got in hold of the approval
notice in the mail before me. she research on it and found out what that was
and planned a evil trap for me. she come to the house with some of her friends and start to try to make me hit her
but i held off. so what she was trhow her self on me so i could have my prints on her body than
she start to hit her self at the furnitures and got some bruises. so she called the police and said that i hurted her and of course her friends supported the lie a i was taken away by the police
. i been waiting for my family to get a attorney to get me out and after a lot of fights with the court system they released me tody and i have to go see the judge mext month. my baby girl is with her and i m loosing my mind. my attorney is working on get this mess clear now. i m exausted, never been in jail in my life and its a horrible place.

  3. I saw people being having AOS denied because they reconciled with their abusers, not one,not two, not three times but several times. In 2007 and 2011 two girls asked my help because their petitions for naturalization were denied because they reconciled with their abusers before becoming US.citizen.I could not help them , first because there is anything in the Immigration Law forcing USCIS to approve the naturalization process once they reconciled with the abusers, and second I will never help someone willing to fool the system filing Vawa and reconciling with the perpetrator.

People who reconciles with their abusers need therapy for life, because suffering abuse is not the victim's fault ever, but going back to the abuser shows low self esteem and total disregard to their own lives. When you can't keep self respect you can't respect anyone. As I said many times abusers are the scum of our society!

In memory of all deceased women victims of domestic violence such as Lacy Petterson (murdered in 2002), Kathleen Savio’s (murdered in 2004),Amanda Rinaldi (murdered in 2012) Reeba Steenkamp (murdered in 2013)Jennifer Martel (murdered three days ago),Jennifer Alfonso (murdered 11 days ago) Patricia Waschbisch( domestic violence advocate murdered in April 2013) and all other 1,324 women murdered in 2012 in the U.S we should say NO to violence, and we say NO when we remove ourselves from the abuser's presence.

I do totally agree with you Sandraj!

I am praying that people suffering from abuse is strong enought to leave their abusers and to not to come back to them ever again, not because you are risking your greencard or your AOS can de denied but because you deserve to have a normal life and be loved.

  4. Did they charge you to accompany you to the interview? If so read your contract and see. You don't need no one to accompany you to the interview get all that they ask you for get a nice dress suit pull your hair back and walk I'm like a lady and come out with your green card. Call your husband and tell him that you'll be a citizen in three years and live your American dream!

haha this is hilarious but still, why bother making sure he will know...after all your journey and after all that you went thought, the last thing you need is get in touch with your abuser...

Second,, you don't need a lawyer to go to your interview, it takes less than 10 minutes and the lawyer cant talk for you.

SANDRAJ HAPPY BIRTHDAY... parabens! hope you had a blast!!
