I received my green card yesterday on 11th Jan 2013.

I didn't expect that i will receive very fast. I applied for SSN few weeks ago but received very fast after 4days. Also applied for state id and got a temporary one.

I am also waiting for my Green Card. Can you please tell on which date did your husband received the green card on hand? So that I can roughly calculate the date of mine.

My husband arrived on a cr-1 visa, I checked the USCIS website and this is what it says. I am not really sure what it means. Does this mean they are sending his greencard or just a welcome letter? He has been here 7 weeks and he hasn't received anything, not even his SS card and we went to social security to apply 2 weeks after he arrived. Thanks in advance

Hello All,

I'm a US citizen and my wife arrived in US last week on CR1 visa. We are planning to go to Social security office next week to apply for SSN. However, we are not sure about the process to get the conditional green card. What's the process to get the green card?

My wife also entered US two weeks ago on CR1 visa at Detroit Metro. She also has not received welcome letter or green card. I have heard it takes 4 weeks, however I am not sure how to track it. Once you have the welcome letter once can track with some tracking number listed on the welcome letter.

I am back to Hyderabad from Mumbai.

The interview was very cooooooooolllllllllllll...................

No hassles. A very few questions.

No need to worry.

My suggestions are dn't go early in the morning. Take enough of time and be there at 6.30am.

Token doesnt paly any role in having once intervw early.

Take marriage photo album, if u guys went to any honey moon take those photos( because they have asked me!!!) , skype and phone logs. No need of skype screen shots( its a burden to carry them).

Just know when ur spouse has got citizenship year and when did they move to US for first time.

very simple and cool.

I forgot to register my profile with my surname as the first name and also the mail id which I registered for US Travel docs is the one I was using for my visa process. my question is, can I create a new profile with other mail id?

Our case was completed on 27th August, but we didn't get any interview date yet.

We are really tensed!!!

I called NVC on 14th of sept and they told that they are still working on scheduling interview dates for Mumbai consulate.

Got email from NVC this afternoon 4pm said out interview will be Oct 17th, so excited!!!!! after long wait it happned. called NVC yeterday morning and they said they were waitig for interview date from Delhi and today got the good news. I hope everyone else got theirs too or will get soon... now time to book the flight to delhi..

I called NVC late yesterday evening and they are still working on scheduling interview dates for Mumbai consulate . Hope we hear something soon, this wait is really painful.

Not yet...waiting for last one and half months....whoever gets the appointment please share the case completion date (@NVC) with us...

Still waiting here..its really frustrating. Case was completed Aug 8th :-(

Sravan, our case was completed on Aug 27th and it's frustrating waiting everyday that we will hear from NVC about Interview date ... I can imagine your frustration.

We had a request from NVC for my wife's original birth certificate and I was told it would take 20 business day to process the documents. However, it just took them 5 business days to process the documents.
