  1. My brother has a NOA1 of January, 15, 2014... I am helping him on this, we are in Texas, and I'm thinking about contacting the congressman, any advice on what should be in the letter, should we call or email, and who should we call since there are lots of them??

Lets take action, I read one applicant contacted the congressman of his state and got an approval 12 days later, that might have been a coincidence (Which I think it was) but there might be a chance that him calling actually had an effect...

  2. Hello,

Well I am writing my behalf of my brother, which had his I-129F NOA1 on January 15, 2014. He got a message for A number assigned on January 21, 2014.

For a second he got very excited, but then after a little research, we found out that A number being assigned doesnt mean approval soon...

Anyways... Can you write here about Texas Service Center, if you were approved in the past two weeks, and also how's their processing speed?

I filed for my wife back in 2012, Vermont Service Center, SUPER SLOW, it took 7 months to get I-129F approved...

Thank you for any information provided!!

  3. Hi again,

On G325A, both the petitioner and foreign fiance should fill out right?

When filling G325A for the petitioner, where it says "Citizenship/Nationality", my brother (the petitioner) is born in Iran, but he is a US. Citizen, so he should just put U.S. Citizen?

Also, on where it says to write your name in your alphabet if it's not in roman roman letters, should my brother write that in Farsi? or since he is a U.S. Citizen, he doesn't need to?

    Please help.

    Thank you

  4. Hi Everyone,

I am helping my brother on its I-129F, and have couple of questions:

A.Should the questions that does not apply to him or his fiance be left blank, or should he put N/A?

(On the example form the spaces are left blank)

    B. On question 36.a. it asks for American Consulate where my brother's fiance will apply for the visa, however, she lives in Iran, which does not have an American Consulate. So should she still put Tehran, Iran, or should she choose a city outside of Tehran, like Dubai or Turkey?

    Please help.

    Thank you!!

  5. Hi,

I am helping my brother to prepare I-129F for his fiance. She lives in Tehran, Iran. I was going through the forms an have some questions.

    1. On Fiance Letter of Intent's example, it has the place in red for "Address of Filing Location" under the US Citizenship and Immigration Services". What address should he put there? the Dallas LuckBox?

    2. Also, should the address be the same for both letters of intent? (for both my brother and her fiance)

    3. Can Fiance sign the letter of intent and fax it back to my brother or does she have to mail it to him?

    4. Is there a sample letter of intent for the petitioner??

    5. Is there any document other than Fiance's Letter of Intent that needs original signature of fiance in Iran?

    6. Is it better to file through USPS or FedEx?

    Please help.

    Thank you!

  6. I am filling out the I-485 form. Got couple of questions:

1: Marital status of applicant: We already got married, so I should choose "married"? (kind of stupid I know, but just want to make sure...)

2: It asks for spouse's A#... I am a US citizen, and on my citizenship certificate there is an A#, do I need to put it on the form? I was going through the sample form and there was no A# filled..

    Please help,

    Thank you!

  7. Hello,

We are so much in the dark about what to do next. We have the wedding one week before the expiration of the K1 (90 days). Where can I find phone numbers or specific instruction on what to do as far as AOS goes? Do we need to submit all the document before the 90 days end? Once we go to court and finalize the Marriage license, it takes them two to four weeks to mail us the marriage certificate (in Texas, we need to obtain a marriage license, have a pastor or judge sign sign it, then we receive the certificate in two to four weeks).

    Please help, Thanks

  8. I know there is a couple of old topics about this. But whats the latest with scheduling an appt at the Moscow embassy?

Do you wait for the consulate email or do you schedule as soon you know your packet is on the way?

I hear some people saying to wait and i hear people that did the whole process after getting the case number from NVC in just 4 weeks total.

Wait for the Consulate's email. I called them couple of days in a row and also email them, and they responded a little faster, I guess if you contact them, they will dig a little deeper to see if your documents got there or not. Once they send you an email with the instructions, then you're good to go!

  9. I know, Moscow received my package from NVC from the 22nd! and I created the profile on the traveldoc website the same day. however, I made a mistake on the IV Address registration (I chose NVC schedules interview). I went back and corrected it, but it seems like the system has locked it on the previous entry and that might be why it keeps telling me there are no appointments available.

I just want to see if others are able to see available dates (which means my profile settings are screwed up) or is it for everyone that they do not have available dates for interview.

    Inputs greatly appreciated!

  10. Hello everyone,

I've been told by my attorney that if my last three years of tax returns are below poverty level, I can show letter of employment (I've been employed and make enough to be above the poverty level). He said that I need the tax returns when I'm filing for I-484 (I guess when we're getting married). I just want to confirm this, does she need to take the tax returns with her, and if she does and the I'm below poverty level, is my employment letter enough to grant the visa? Any thoughts?
