  1. Chi, my heart aches for you, soo sorry that now you have been delayed. For your next move K1 or CR1, I don't think that Lagos is hung up on age differene only because I just turned 42 and my fiance just 26, I have one 6 yr old and fiance none yet, but I made sure that we had so much evidence, Facebook screenshots, Skype, Messinger, Rebtel, Voxophone, Google voice, my tel entire bills with call logs and highlited our calls to each other , made sure all was in folders and all well organized, I overkilled evidence left no room for denial, but souds like your CO may have gotton up on the wrong side of the bed you your day of interview. Whichever way you choose next you will be fine prayed for you good luck with your next move and please keep hanging in there.

  2. Thank you, nice to see you are back - I read a lot of your post, I always looked at you as the Nigerian subject matter expert, thanks for your guidace, nice to know that you and your husband are happy. Best of luck with your next step.

  3. Please hang in there, I remember crying tears of sadness because I felt VSC was was causing me much agravation, but just before reading your post I was hugging my daughter and crying tears of joy becaude my fiance will be here in with us in just a few days. I was where you were in that black not so long ago, it shall come to pass, take the time to prepare for your moment, I promise you it will be worth the wait. Keep hanging in there.

  4. QueenE and my other Visa Journey family, I am truly sorry if I have caused any confusion, and that is why I participate in little online discussions. I saw that you are a K1 filer like myself previously and what I ment to say was that we e-mailed the Lagos Embassy and requested the earlist available interview date, we did not simply wait for them to contact us, our e-mail was sent to LagosIV@state.gov with our Lagos case number, date of birth etc and requested an interview date and they e-mailed us back with what they scheduled us for, as for a DHL and tracking, I tried a few days in a row before I was succesful, what I did was to put DHL in the search button at the top of the Visa Journey page and it had many options but when I picked the option for DHL Tracking from NVC to US Embassy it takes you to a very kind Visa Journey member who's name is: tru_loves_journey and that member has detailed istructions on how to track your package, and to find out once it is singed for by the Lagos Embassy--- I was even bold enough to sign up for online confirmation once I got the Waybill Nunber (this is if you know that your case has left NVC, good luck, God bless, and if you write back and I have not responded this is because I am now going carzy, on final stage of trying to verify if the Visa is now ready for pick up.

  5. Yes it will get easier - NOA2 should be soon. Please hang in there - this is one of the hardest thing I have ever had to do - at times I thought I was gonna go crazy - I read and prepared to try and make sure no further delays, but it seams that after NOA2 I regained my sanity and time started to go real fast. After NOA2 I was able to call NVC, track package down to the very day it was delivered and e-mailed embassy to get the quickest interview day, but even though interview day next Friday today I still felt like OMG so long and still missing my sweetie but it will get a little easier please keep the faith. Good luck on your journey.

  6. What worked for us was we tracked to see when the package was delivered to the Embassy and then we semt an e-mail (LagosIV@state.gov) them with INS receipt number, NVC case number, Name of fiance and our birth dates, I let them know that we had already gone to the website and downloaded the contents of the packets and would like to get an interview date and with in 3 days we got a very nice reply back with the date and time of the interview. As for pics my visits were very short all 2 of them, on second trip lost all our pictures my daughter accidentally took too many pics and the phone had to be reset lost all pics from 2nd trip but thank got 1st trip all of 6 pics togather were on back up, we talk all the time, so to make up for it I submitted tons of other proof, skye chats, emails, texts, hope this helps. Good luck to all of us.

  7. Thank you Nigerian Queen we will definatly scan and e-mail DS 230 back after checking to make sure they have our file at Embassy and thank you too NigeriaorBust I will call the NVC to check to see if interview scheduled after e-mail. My VJ family thanks a million now have my next action plan in place.

  8. Thank you winnie george - I called the embassy last week and was able to get through but they were not willing to help me by phone to correct in incorrect birth date on our application, they said to e-mail the request and so I did and was able to ger a reply the very next day. So I am going to take your advice and e-mail them to request an interview date. I feel good about the option. Have a great weekend everyone.

  9. Hi I need help your help please. Waited long tome for NOA2 approval and don't ever just want to sit and wait like that again. Got answers for amost all things on this site by doing a search for prior post and answers but I am trying to make sure that we get the quickest appointment for a K1 interview for Nigeria. Tracked our DHL package sent by NVC to the embassy and as of 02/27 it says the delevery attempted but Embassy closed. Once package is received by embassy what is the quickest way to get and interview date? I have already printed and sent to my fiance the documents that would need for Packet 3. So do I have to sit and wait for the Embassy to e-mail or mail him a date or can we possibly, e-mail, or call to schedule his interview date. Thanks in advance.
