Hi, Finally i received my us citizenship and i want to file for my parents to come here. which form should i file i-130 or IR5. How long does it take and which one is faster. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks

If you will be in UK less than 24 hours, and have documents showing continuing travel, then no visa needed for US green-card holder from India.
http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_webs...ubuser=DELTAB2C
US citizens are allowed to visit UK as part of VWP so wont need a visa for UK either.
its not that off project to be moved. its still related to imigration but ahh well some one has lot of time in hand to move stuff around

Ins officer said they had some technical difficulties, and sorry for the delay. she asked for my GC and asked me civic questions, what are the branches, flag color, capitol, how many senators in each state, and independecne day and she asked me if we filed taxes together and looked at some original docs. and that is. 20 minutes, i was all done.

Hello All,
i had my interview yesterday and approved. Finally! Thanks to all of VJ members for all the help.
Interview didn't take too long, took about 15 minutes and got approved. One thing I learned is leave as early as you can for the interview, I barely made it on time because of unexpected traffic delays.

Hello all,
I received my interview letter last week and i am preparing my self for the interview. I know I have to know the citizenship questions but is there anything else i need to prepare. Can they also ask the questions like when were you married, just same questions like in the early process or do they just focus on citizenship questions only.
Thanks,

Can anyone who has applied for Removal of Condition can get a I-551 stamp or do we have to show proof that we have a trip comiing up that involves traveling outside of the country?
I don't think you have to. I went to get Stamp last week and i had the infopass. She looked at paperwork, all the NOA's but i never got one because she said i was approve and should have my 10 year card in couple weeks but I think you only need to show your NOA's and passport. I did tell her that i am teaveling but she never asked for any proof of travel

Hello all,
I went to our local ins office to get a i-551 stamp and the agent there said my application was approved on April 16 and the USCIS online status still doesn't say that I have been approved. So just wanted to let you guys know you might want to check your status by calling them. My NOA was March 15 07 so that will give you an idea if you should call if you filed around that date. Take care all.

Hello, I am filling out N-400 and confused about part 9. In column A i have put 1 for marriages because that is the only marriage I have and confused about Column G. Are they asking for prior marriages of my wife in there. She has never been married before either so do i put 0 and N/A to rest or do I need to put 1 for current marriage as well. Please answer, hoping to mail this tomorrow morning. Thanks,

1) Are you talking about this? (YES, one or each of the 4 listed items)If you are applying for naturalization based on your marriage to a U.S. citizen, send the following four items:
- Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last three years:
- Birth certificate (if your spouse never lost citizenship since birth), or
- Naturalization Certificate, or
- Certificate of Citizenship, or
- The inside of the front cover and signature page of your spouse's current U.S. passport, or
- Form FS-240, "Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States of America," and
- Your current marriage certificate, and
- Proof of termination of all prior marriages of your spouse - divorce decree(s), annulment(s), or death certificate(s); and
- Documents referring to you and your spouse:
- Tax returns, bank accounts, leases, mortgages, or birth certificates of children, or
- Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - certified copies of the income tax forms that you both filed for the past three years, or
- An IRS tax return transcript for the last three years.
I read this to mean that you have to submit "1 to 4" not "any one of the 4".
I mistyped. I meant Can i send just one of each in all 4 categories. LIke Nauralization certificate instead of copying Passport.... and Birth certificate of kids VS certified Tax returns.
- Evidence that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the last three years:

thanks! Appreciate it.

Hello,
I am in the process of filing n-400 and was just wondering what else should I send with my application. Is there any additional documents needs to be attached or just the n-400 application with the required fees. Thanks,
badal

Yes, you can file.
Thanks !

Hello My I-751 is still pending but I am thinking to File for n-400. My 3 year will be on June, Can I file 90 prior to that date as 5 year resident do. Or do i need to wait. Please help. Thanks in advance.
-
you can only file the N-400 if you have been a permanent resident for 3 years.... and seeing as you said your 2 year green card expires in June, you will not be able to file it this year...
I meant my extension for 1 year after filing i-751 expires in June. does that mean i can file this year. 3 years minus 90 days
