  1. What vaccines do I need?

And I received my NOA2 on 29th Oct (finally!). NVC sent out my package on 9th Nov, SG embassy received on 14th Nov. My fiance called and they confirmed they had my case. Yesterday, I called and checked if my packet 3 been mailed out and was told they NEVER received my packet. I think they lost it. This embassy is horrible!

  2. #2, yes

    #16, None

#18, As you said, it asks for spouse name, not ex-spouse...

#25, I would put your personal number

#34, so you will both be leaving Chile to go leave in the US? I would put your name

#40, That is what's happening, right? So put your name, and yes, if they ask, you say exactly that.

    Just follow your logic... ;)

#18 asks for spouse's full name (even if divorced or separated)

Hence she should fill in his fiance 's ex spouse name.

  3. We recieved our letter stating that they had our Application. There were no request or anything just said that if they need more info they would contact us Basically....We have not gotten anything else and guess this is a good sign. they reciived our paperwork on March 13th and have already cashed the check shortly after....Just anxious I guess...Hopefully soon...middle of August

You probably won't hear anything from them again till next year.

    Welcome to the K1 process.

  4. While waiting on packet 3, what can I do besides putting together the evidence and documents?

Can i go ahead and schedule my medical with my case number?

Or pay for visa fee and schedule an appt at embassy?

ANY way I can speed things up as best as I can in my limited situation?

  5. My fiance has a travel visa and visited me in August. She returned to Russia and we have now filed an I-129F. Will her visa be automatically frozen, or should she be able to visit as long as it is valid? Thank you.

Filing of I-129F does not affect her travel visa. She should be able to visit as long as it is still valid.

  6. :wow: Haaaaaaarsh...

The OP would be a burden to the co-sponsor supporting them, a private individual not society. And, if the SO is indeed eligible for unemployment benefits, it is NOT a public charge issue.

If you are worried about umemployment and sponsors, then you should not be think about getting married. They don't go hand-in-hand. One issue at a time. Geez.

  7. :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

So so so happy to this today when I checked in on my case status. OMG,OMG my heart is pounding finally, finally we are moving on to the next chapter in our journey to be husband and wife. Though what I wonder is how is it that I never saw a decision it went straight from initial review to Post FDecision activity? anyway don't care they said that On October 3, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice,etc....

    Happy,Happy,Happy.

    Wendy

    i hate you

  8. Michigan. How about you?

When did you get your NOA1? You're still lucky to have spent 3 months with him. I haven't seen my fiance since Apr. :/

Virginia. I got my NOA1 in early April.

Oh how long did you wait for your packet 3 after you got your NOA2? I heard mixed comments about that. Some said fast some said slow. I'm confused. I am thinking if it takes a long time I might go over to visit again.

  9. I can't see your timeline coz I'm using my phone to browse. But I guess we got lucky coz our case was handled by CSC so it only took us 85 days from NOA1 to NOA2. :) So hang in there!

So glad to hear from you. When I started this journey I was

really hoping to find someone from here too. It really makes a difference to have someone to relate to! :)

Wow! Only 85 days! Lucky you! While waiting for my NOA2 I spend 3 months in US with my fiance and when I got back last month still NO NEWS AT ALL. I heard CSC is much more efficient. VSC sucks!

It really does makes a difference to find someone on the same boat, isn't it? ;) Where are you moving to in the US?

  10. Are they Singaporeans? Why aren't they on visajourney??? Lol. I felt like it was just the two of us applying for k1 on the entire island. :))

I think I'm gonna wait for packet 4. They stressed in the email that NVC cases are prioritised first. I just wanna know the interview date - doesn't have to be an early interview. :(

Lol. You are not the only people applying for K1, of course. :) However, I do feel like I am the only person applying sometimes.

Anyways, nice to meet y'all. :)

I am STILL waiting for my NOA2. I am so envious you guys already on packet 4. How much longer do I have to wait? :( sigh. This sucks.

  11. Let me share my experience. It is a little long, please pardon me.

I was engaged in April 2011. Prior to that, I have visited my fiance in June 2010, Sep 2010 and Dec 2010 for 2 weeks every time and never had problems.

In July 2011, I quit my job and went over with my dog for 3 months. I flew in to IAD and was directed to secondary clearance because of my dog. They ask who I am visiting and what how long. Search one of my suitcases and let me go through. Didn't even bother to check the papers for my dog. It was easy.

In November 2011, I flew back again for 3 months again. This time I got into some trouble at secondary clearance. I was grilled by a mean Asian officer. Because I went back too fast and I didn't have a job. He asked if I am getting married. I said no way! And after searching thoroughly all my bags. He warn me to get a B1 visa next time.

In Feb 2012, Fiance visited Singapore. Together, we went to apply for a B1 visa as what POE officer has advised but was denied. Because I don't have a job or ties to Singapore. They were even rude to my fiance #######. Fine. My fiance and I then decided to start K1 process. (I know, I know. We should have started right after we got engaged. Bad planning on our part.) We didnt hear anything from them in a month. Called them up and they said we are missing forms. We did what we need to do and finally got our NOA1 in April. (Yay!)

Fiance visited in April 2012. He never has problems visiting Singapore.

In May 2012, My fiance decided enough waiting already and flew me over. Was held at SFR secondary clearance and directed to a interview room. They ask the usual questions and said I lied on my ESTA. They said I didn't declare that I was denied a visa before. I explained it was an honest mistake. The ESTA was applied back in June 2011. The other contents I can change is address and flight numbers. I have totally forgotten what are the rest of the questions in the ESTA. I brought my NOA1 and copy of my I129F just in case. They were more interested in searching my bags then looking at my documents. My fiance called them up and assured them I am not intending to stay. I have visited on many accounts and NEVER overstayed. (He was really afraid for me they would make me turn around.) The officers were not rude not all just doing their job. I explain I am just visiting my fiance and trying to spend as much time together as possible. What is wrong is that, why do they always make it difficult. They are very understanding and explain they are just doing their job. This is then the weird part. Instead of stamping my passport as they always do, they gave me a discretionary parole stamp and ask me to fill in a I-94 form and let me go. (I must be really lucky.)

My fiance is intending to visit next month and wants to fly me back together with him. We are expecting my NOA2 to come through anytime now. We thought it would be a little less risk to travel to US with our NOA2. Also, he will be going through customs with me, hoping that would be easier. I have doubts they would let me in again after the last two times. And I am now concerned if my last parole stamp will affect my entry. What does the parole stamp means? Do I need to do anything to waive it off or what?
