is it the visa or sealed medical report or something else

is the yellow sealed envelope and passport in the same package from VFS?

My spouse visa got approved on Aug1. How long will it take for VFS to mail the passport and visa and this yellow sealed envelope?

it looks like they are asking for documents did you send originals,if not bring them to the interview or missing documents,

Its the I-864

they are saying the numbers on Q 25 don't match W2s

they don't say anything about sending the docs to NVC.

My friend petitioning for her mom got a message from NVC

"We are sending you attached checklist, which indicates the documents that are missing. You should obtain these documents and send them to the visa so they may be presented at the final interview.".....

It also states that You will be notified when an interview has been set. Do not contact post reagarding your interview date.

Does this mean the case is closed at NVC?

Does NVC another email/letter stating the case is closed at NVC?

or they only notify for IR5 cases when the interview is scheduled?

My friend's mom is 72 yrs old. Has visited the US many times

She has lived in 2 different states in India( New Delhi and Haryana ) since the age of 16 but lived in New Delhi for last 30 yrs.

Does she need a Passport police clearance certificate from both states or just New Delhi is enough.

Also she is at NVC stage. Can she adjust status in the USA? and submit Adjustment of status application to NVC??

or is it too late and she will have to do an interview in new delhi

December filer here with case closed and interview in July

Great. Your timeline suggests that you got your NOA2 in short period.

USCIS approved and sent the NOA2 just little over 5 months.

Has anyone who filed I-130 in Nov 2011 have their case completed at NVC and have their interview scheduled at the foreign embassy.

It's currently taking around a week (sometimes less!) to review packages. So, if nothing is missing from the packages, you should have a case complete by next week

As for the time frame between case complete and getting an interview date scheduled, it varies by consulate/embassy, although typically, you get an interview date within a month.

Assuming NVC doesn't require any additional documents. How many days does it take after they receive AOS and DS230 packets to close the case

Sent AOS and DS 230 docs to NVC June 4. Arrived at NVC on morning of June 5.

Hoping they can schedule an interview for July in New Delhi.

Can the IV package (DS 230 and supporting docs) be mailed before the status shows PAID on line.

I can print the cover sheet even though the payment status shows IN PROCESS

Are the two addresses different as listed below? There is nothing after CMR for IV packet. Is this correct? Thanks.

I've sent them with signature. had no poblems with it.

thanks. I know with signatures is ok. but my question is sending tax return to NVC without signatures? Only way i can signatures of spouse is to send the tax return to India again. didn't keep a copy of return that went to IRS which had my and wifes signatures.

I printed off a copy, signed & photocopied. If your accountant e-filed for you then you should have proof of that somewhere...something saying "the irs has accepted your return blah, blah, blah". He would have e-signed using a pin# & agi from last year, not an actual ink signature.

it was not e-file. It was paper filed along with ITIN application. That is why I don't have the transcripts yet. IRS is still processing my paper return. originals with signatures went to IRS.

The tax accountant's name and pin# appears on the paper return. I can sign it also but spouse can't sign it. I have the send the return overseas again to get her signature.

So my question again, for people who submit tax return not transcripts to NVC always have signatures on the tax return for both husband and wife or no signatures are ok?

Do the 1040 tax returns copies sent to NVC need to show signatures or without signatures is ok?

Please reply with personal experience. I don't have tax transcripts for 2011 and will not have them by the time I need to send AOS so please don't advice on tax transcripts

p.s. The accountant send the 1040 returns with mine and spouse signature to IRS and gave us a copy of the tax return without our signatures.

Please advice if the tax return to NVC require the signatures or without signatures is ok?

We sent both together in one package. Our case was complete within a week of sending it.
