You should have the vaccinations taken while in Nairobi with one of the panel physicians. they will only give you the necessary vaccines witout your medical info. I inquired when my wife and I were filing to ask a similiar question as yours. Please see the Embassy response below....

    Greetings,

Kindly be advised that if you are planning to have your interview here in Nairobi the medical should be done here in Nairobi but if the interview is in Uganda you can do your medical in Uganda.

    Sincerely,

Subject: Can Ugandan Immigrant Visa Beneficiary's See Panel Physician in Uganda

    Dear Consular Office,

I am writing to receive clarification on whether Ugandan immigrant petition beneficiaries can now see Panel Physician in Uganda vs. Nairobi? I reading info on the US embassy website for Kampala and their Immigrant Visa info states that the panel physician in Kampala can be utilized for this purpose. Am I correct in what I have read? Previously, I was told that the medical must be performed in Nairobi. The information from the website is listed below along with a link to it. Please advise. Thank you.

  2. My husband is from uganda. He received vaccinations as a child but his

Mother does not have the records anymore. Ivan has talked about getting

A blood test to determine which vaccines he had immunities for. Although I am wondering

If he is better off just getting re vaccinated at the medical exam before

His interview??? The clinic wants $200 usd to process the blood test. My

Question is if the medical exam/us embassy will accept the results of the blood test??

    Anyone have any advise???

  3. Hello all. So let me explain our situation. My husband is Ugandan we married on Jan 27 2012. Then I went back to the states at which point we started

Working on visa things. Currently we just received news that our case

Has been closed and are waiting on an interview date.

Our case was closed on Dec 6th 2012. Anyone know what I should expect

As far as how long to wait?? Some people on here talk about scheduling the interview themselves.

Does this apply for me?? The NVC told me they will schedule it and email me with the interview date.

Any information, advise ect would be greatly appreciated.

    Kelly
